OVERALL FUNCTION :
Accountable for creating monthly and weekly production requirements and inventory plans that meet demand requirements from the DIBM / S&OP Planning process. Utilizes capacity analysis and customer service policies to govern schedules and finished product inventory plans. Responsible for creating and executing master scheduling time horizons and periods in accordance with business strategies and policies. May be responsible for master plans for single or multiple plants. Works with operations and unit managers, supervisors, material planners, schedulers and customer service. Responsible for continuous improvement of the master scheduling process and performance.
Responsible for providing Material Planning back-up coverage including planning and executing the procurement and delivery of raw materials, active ingredients and packaging supplies to the contract manufacturing production units in support of the production schedule.
Develops the weekly Master Production Schedule at the detailed level (disaggregate/SKU) by translating the DIBM/S&OP monthly aggregate Production Plan for the CLT*/MPS horizon considering all demand and requirements for production.
Maintains and communicates a valid time-phased master schedule.
Implement, execute , and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) policies to ensure stability and responsiveness.
Maintains and provide valid Available to Promise (ATP) data.
Identify and resolve conflicts with supply and demand and available capacity for the CLT/MPS horizon.
Utilize “what if” simulations to evaluate proposed MPS changes to determine impact and execute the approved changes effectively.
Recommend disposition of non-productive inventory as appropriate.
Identifies options for optimization of MPS plans (cost, capacity, etc.)
Develops and maintains the Master Production Schedule for all contract manufacturing units. Works with the Global Supply Planners and US Demand Planners to ensure that the planned product supply balances with deployment replenishment requirements. Utilizes Advanced Planning Optimizer (APO) for supply planning. Maintains master data in APO evergreen. Serves as a member of product S&OP teams and communicates with team to supply and obtain information pertinent to contract efforts. Works closely with Packaging, Labeling and Sourcing groups. *
Participate with manufacturing and/or technology in the structure of Material Master/BOM’s/recipes.
Participate in the DIBM process and meetings as required.
Key interface with sales, demand management, customer service, marketing, engineering and production for the purpose of satisfying customer requirements and providing policy advocacy to the business.
Key interface back to Master Planner and Asset Scheduler when required.
Responsible for key master production planning metrics, root cause and corrective action.
Maintains accurate data to support the master scheduling process (e.g. lead times, lot sizes, product wheel, and other operating rules and conditions).
Facilitate the daily/weekly/monthly meetings.
Associates degree in Supply Chain, business, or technical field required (BS/BA preferred).
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience working in a supply chain, planning, related field.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable establishing an effective business relationship with contractors, suppliers and numerous internal contacts.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member, frequently accomplishing objectives via influence management versus direct control.
Demonstrated knowledge of DuPont core values and standards
Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and delegate multiple tasks for self and others in alignment with business needs.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and SAP
Demonstrated knowledge of production and material planning and accounting and inventory practices in order to independently develop an optimized production plan.
Demonstrated understanding of Ag Standard 002 in particular the impact of sequential (TCAL) and simultaneous (FSI) operation on production scheduling requirements
TRAINING / CERTIFICATIONS
Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
APICS Certification preferred (may be obtained on the job; recommended completion of Modules 1 and 3 within 9 months)
Operations, scheduling, and planning experiences are preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt and/or certified Lean Practitioner preferred
SAP / APO / BW (or equivalent) preferred
Manufacturing Experience preferred
