Description

DuPont sponsors a qualified defined benefit plans which annually disburse over $1.3 Billion of retirement benefits to over 85,000 pensioners and survivors. The Company also has non-qualified pension plans. DuPont has partnered with Aon and State Street Bank to create a unique co-sourcing model for pension administration services. DuPont maintains an in-house pension team to oversee and assist our vendors in administering the plans.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain familiarity with pension administration/retirement process and how it impacts business initiatives, plan design changes, policy issues, legislative changes, etc.

  • Be comfortable with reading and updating of pension process and requirements documentation both in-house and with vendors.

  • Analyze complex, non-standard pension calculations. Expertise in Excel calculation functionality required.

  • Assist in the maintenance and development of internal pension calculation tools.

  • Ability to analyze large quantities of data and recognize trends and patterns.

  • Assist in the execution of process improvement programs both in-house and with vendors in areas such as data integrity, historical records management and technology enhancements.

  • Participate in the testing of vendor systems to ensure appropriate changes are implemented. Experience with QA and regression testing preferred.

  • Familiarity with account and fulfilment reconciliations

  • Ability to participate in several projects simultaneously, recognizing the need for prioritizing and raising concerns as appropriate.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of two years of experience in pension defined benefit administration is preferred

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Microsoft Excel

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to utilize strong problem solving skills

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite applications
