We're currently recruiting for Production Technicians to join our team in Lethbridge, Alberta. In the Production Technician role, you will be deeply integrated with our safety culture that values recognition and continuous improvement. You will have a variety of responsibilities throughout the year, which gives you exposure to, and knowledge of, many areas of our business. You will join a team that provides a strong training program and foundation to advance your career in a variety of areas including Agronomy, Operations Management/Leadership, and more!

We’re offering a starting wage of $20+ per hour and comprehensive flex benefits with a generous defined contribution pension plan, vacation, company-paid holidays, and more. In addition, successful new hires will receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus!

The Production Technician role has a variety of responsibilities including the following:

  • Work and interact directly withcanola seed growers in the summer

  • Perform responsibilitiesassociated with general plant operations from receiving seed to shippingpackaged seed at the Lethbridge Plant

  • Operation of various types ofplant equipment such as sizing, gravity operation, spiral separators, seedtreatment

  • applicators, packagingequipment

  • Conditioning activities such ascleaning and sizing, treating and packaging, palletizing, wrapping andsampling

  • Could involve process orders,tag printing, grading, data entry and documentation of government records

  • Shipping/receiving, interplantmovement, rework, warehousing, and inventory management of bagged and bulkseed, including the safe operation of forklifts

  • Harvest activities fromreceiving to storage

  • Compliance with WorkInstructions and Quality Plan requirements

  • Repair and maintenance on plantequipment as required

  • Overtime hours includingweekend and shift work required during seasonal peaks


The following are required:

  • High school diploma or equivalentand valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Willingness and ability topossibly cover the overnight shift (11pm -7:30am) from approximatelyOctober through March

  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, reliability, work accuracy, and timeliness

  • Competent computer skills

  • Organization

  • Ability to work autonomouslywith limited supervision

  • Ability to climb and/or work inelevated areas, standing and sitting for extended periods

  • Repetitive lifting up to 60pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Willingness to work bothoutdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions

The following are preferred:

  • Post-secondary educationrelated to agriculture or related field of study

  • Experience in light industrial,manufacturing, field production/farming, seed cleaning and handling, orwarehouse

  • Knowledge of productionagriculture and production plant operations
