Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ is seeking an experienced leader to be responsible for the effective and profitable management of our Algona production plant. This exciting opportunity will allow you to further develop several skills including overseeing plant, field, safety, continuous improvement, maintenance, and administration at one of our strategic sites. As the Production Location Manager, you will plan for and mobilize resources needed to develop high quality seed on-time to meet delivery and stock transport schedules, plus manage distribution of other products. Utilize your strong communication skills by managing internal and external relationships and networking with the broader organization. Provide leadership to staff regarding production of high quality products that meet customer needs while fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation as well as employee growth and development. Effectivegrower and support. Local optimization and on-time completion ofproduction plans. Achievement of seed-quality plan standards. Maintainhigh productivity.
Good workingrelationships with other groups in IO, growers, contract conditioners,etc. maintained. Positive community relations maintained via coordinationand participation in public relations activities. Sale and use of productspromoted whenever possible.
Compliancewith federal and state regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, Wage & Hour Laws,etc.). Compliance with Production Operations, IO, and Company policies andguidelines. Input into Production Operations policies and guidelinesprovided. Adherence to Quality Plan and procedures, including assuringup-to-date documentation is maintained. Plant & field policies and standardoperating procedures (e.g., work hours, allocation of acreage, etc.)developed and implemented.
In order to be qualifiedfor this role, the following is required:
8 years’ experience in seedproduction or manufacturing management
Experience in planning and goalsetting, budgeting, and supervision
Excellent management andleadership skills (leading leaders). Performance development andcoaching/feedback skills. Team building skills.
Ability to effectively workwith and manage people from diverse backgrounds. Cross-functionalcollaboration.
