Asset Scheduler - CPM Film Processing (Job Number: 194615W-01)
Seeking a new and challenging opportunity to further enhance your career? DuPont Electronics and Communications is seeking an asset scheduler for the Interconnect Solutions business supporting the Circleville, OH manufacturing facility.
The asset scheduler will work closely with the finishing process area to coordinate final material requirements and develop planned material availability for finished goods. The scheduler will work closely with the upstream supply chain team, the finishing area manufacturing team, and the customer service team to ensure needs are being met, and to ensure that planned availability of semi-finished material is included in the site’s output schedules.
In this role the successful candidate will be accountable for balancing the productivity and capacity within the finishing area with customer delivery needs. They will be responsible for ensuring that tactical processes required to make and ship materials is happening according to plan, or communicating any deviations to that plan. This includes scheduling and managing semi-finished material and working with the manufacturing team to ensure that a high velocity is maintained through the process. The asset scheduler is responsible to maintain valid schedules for the near-term production horizon. “Valid schedules” refers to the time sequenced availability of materials required to ship from the site and ensuring that resources are available to supply the materials at the right time, quality and quantity.
What do we expect from you?
Issues an output schedule for the site based on afinal time-phased production plan.
Oversees daily production schedules during planninghorizon and coordinates changes to those schedules.
Assures schedules are continually maintained andcommunicated throughout the supply chain.
Highlights and actively participate in theidentification and resolution of inventory, customer order issues, and qualityissues as they develop. Work closelywith Master scheduler and order planning personnel.
Communicates production issues, supply changes,deviations from plan and potential resolutions to appropriate parties.
Coordinates secondary processing of finished product(e.g., rework and repackaging).
Manages performance standards and analysis methodsto compare actual production performance against the established standards.
Monitors process orders & assuring closed asneeded, accurate process orders are used to maintain system & dataintegrity
Serves as the primary interface betweenmanufacturing, supply chain, and customer service.
Works with manufacturing to optimize the plantschedule along with manufacturing capabilities.
Co-ordinates the production scheduling withmaintenance planning and scheduling needs.
Validates planned semi-finished material isavailable as needed for the asset schedule.
Validates master data of assigned areas and productsincluding lot sizing, period factors, and other planning parameters.
Drives Improvement in ERP System discipline andplanning data. Works with the site productioncontrols team to integrate operations practices into planning systems.
Communicatesschedule changes to Master Schedulers and material planners and updates expectedavailability within SAP.
Managesinventory for responsible products ensuring flow, and that non-productiveinventory is identified appropriately dispositioned, and worked to resolution.
Participatesin the Electronics Asset Scheduling network.
Occasionallyparticipates in night time calls to communicate material availability status toworldwide organization.
Leadsresolution of short-term supply/demand imbalances for products shipping fromthe Circleville plant.
What do we need from you?
Bachelorsdegree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business Administration, orEngineering required
3-5years of experience in supply chain or related field
SixSigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Passingscore on APICS CPIM Module I (Basics of Supply Chain Management)
APICS(CPIM) Certified in Production and Inventory Management Preferred
Familiarand competent in the use of SAP/APO
Demonstratedstrength in planning and organizational skills
Advancedknowledge of Microsoft Office
