DuPont ElectronicPolymers business is seeking a MaterialPlanner & Contracts Administrator to be accountable for the formal planning and execution of all tactical level processes required to secure and manage raw materials, packaging materials, and semi-finished materials, based on a forward-looking production plan.

This includes scheduling and managing delivery, storage, staging, and movement of materials. The role will ensure conformance with logistics strategies, and is responsible to create and maintain valid plans for the acquisition of parts and materials.

Additionally, this role will support the DuPont Electronic Polymers supply chain team by providing relief coverage to asset scheduling and generate various metrics and reports to support ongoing operations.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Use MRP to project raw material demandwith vendors and establishes maximum inventories and reorder points to optimizeservice level and inventory investment.

  • Ensure timelyavailability of raw materials to meet production schedules.

  • Create,validate and maintain a materials plan based upon the Master ProductionSchedule.

  • Ensure thecorrect materials are procured at the right time, quality and quantity tominimize production and storage costs.

  • Develop andprovide expected demand for ingredients and packaging materials to suppliers ona regular basis. Obtain supply capability confirmation from suppliers.

  • Schedule andmanage the execution of material deliveries against existing contracts orpurchase orders.

  • Assess andrespond to expected raw material storage and distribution capacity requirementsbased upon supplier lead times.

  • Lead resolutionof short-term supply/demand imbalances for ingredients and packaging materials.

  • Collaborate with Corporate sourcing onsupplier relationship management including exploring new suppliers andproviding data to assist sourcing evaluations.

  • Identify andinitiate response to raw material service/quality complaints frommanufacturing. Initiate return material process involving QA and Sourcing.

  • Identify inaccurate raw materialinventory records and initiate actions to remedy.

  • Evaluate non-productiveraw material inventories for disposition, and work to minimize non-productive inventoryfor raw materials,semi-finished and packaging materials.

  • Plan movement of sourced/in-processproduct from a stocking location to a specific point of use location.

  • Participate in daily/weekly planningmeetings and represent material plans as appropriate

  • Communicate with manufacturing, planttechnical, purchasing, and master scheduling personnel regarding supplyproblems and their resolutions.

  • Lead the continuous improvement of thematerial planning process

  • Maintain accurate raw material andsupplier master data including planning parameters, such as order quantities orlot sizes, lead times and safety stocks.

Secondary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Entertransaction data into enterprise systems.

  • Extract transaction data from enterprise systems.

  • Review physicaldata versus system data.

  • Create and distribute periodic reports and metrics

  • Provide supportto the operations and sourcing organizations as needed

  • Engage appropriate supply chain team resources, SAP & ITsupport resources as needed when issues are identified, and when thereare new system needs

  • Present data,reports, and information in an effective way to the SC org.

Provide asset scheduling support when needed by the business:

  • Serve as thepoint person between the supply organization and plant to clearly define/ understand short term production issues and supply needs between theorganizations.

  • Issue detailedschedule for each asset based on a final time-phased production plan.

  • Manage dailyproduction schedules during planning horizon.

  • Highlight andactively participate in the identification and resolution of inventory,customer order issues, and quality issues as they develop. Work closely with Master scheduler andorder planning personnel.

  • Communicateproduction schedule issues, supply changes, deviations from plan andpotential resolutions to appropriate parties.

  • Validatematerial availability against asset schedule

  • Monitor processorders & assure closure as needed; accurate process orders are usedto maintain system & data integrity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’sin material management, supply chain, engineering, or business degree required

  • APICsCPIM certification preferred

  • APICSCPIM modules 1-2 certification preferred/required within one year of obtaining position.

  • SAPexperience required

  • 3– 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or related field

  • Purchasingexperience strongly preferred

  • Advancedknowledge of Microsoft office – especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • APOexperience preferred

  • SixSigma Green Belt certification preferred
