As a Senior Manager, you will lead and deliver complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement effective solutions to produce a lasting impact for clients. You will be expected to drive the direction of one or multiple co-current engagements and effectively manage the team and long-term relationship with clients to deliver the scope of work. Beyond client project work, the Senior Manager will contribute to the development of new clients and markets, development and delivery of presentations to Senior Executives, and provide regional and global thought leadership to innovate offerings and approaches. The ideal candidate must have a track record of delivering complex transformations, have excellent communication and client management skills to maintain positive client relations and high client satisfaction levels. The candidate must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with an entrepreneurial bias.

Responsibilities:

-Managing the execution of multiple complex consulting engagements to ensure the project and deliverables meet or exceed the client’s requirements and expectations and deliver superior value to clients. This entails:

  • Lead collaborative operational excellence ‘diagnostics’ to quantify the improvement potential for our core clients and back it up with a detailed improvement roadmap to deliver the value

  • Superior project management skills to structure the complex project activities and identifying resource requirements, in line with the scope and objectives of the engagement

  • Leading and directing large teams, and oversee the overall quality of the project delivery to deliver the KPI results as well as achieve sustainability milestones

  • Ability to oversee entire complex engagements, but have the raw problem solving and depth in skillset / experience to deep dive in to the challenges and accelerate program delivery at the workstream level

  • Engaging and managing key stakeholders at Management and C-Suite to ensure client’s expectations are fully met

  • Proactively identifying issues and risks, examining alternatives, and pursuing the optimal course of actions to minimize adverse impact and maximize project success

-Managing and enhancing relationship with clients, with the objective of positioning the company as a trusted partner and identifying and pursuing additional business opportunities.

-Working with Principal / Director in developing new business leads & opportunities to grow the business

-Playing an active role in building the firm by:

  • Participating and contributing to functional and/or industry networks with the aim of developing and sharing best practices

  • Mentoring / coaching junior colleagues to support their development within the organization

Qualifications

  • BS Engineering or equivalent plus an MBA from a leading university is preferred

  • 8+ years working with a leading management consulting firm, ideally combined with 5+ years working in line management in industries linked with our core client base (e.g. oil and gas, Petrochemical, utilities, transportation and/or heavy manufacturing sectors)

  • Proven experience in leading complex business / operations transformation programs characterized by both a high change management component and delivering rapid, sustainable results across multiple workstreams

  • Balanced skillset between having strong raw problem-solving skills (can find the opportunities), highly analytical approach (can back it up with facts) combined with pragmatic implementation program management skills (can deliver it through the clients frontline) – with a strong bias towards behavioral based changed

  • ‘Spike’ in one or more operational excellence elements – debottlenecking, maintenance and reliability, turnaround management, supply chain management, energy efficiency, capital management, etc. But, proven experience across all elements

  • Experience in designing, rolling out and embedding Management Operating System frameworks – from defining corporate objectives, business planning, planning / scheduling / execution, visual management and short interval control at the frontline.

  • Strong leadership skills and proven track record in building teams

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with ability to extensively interact at Executive level

  • Previous experience in operational risk management and / safety programs will be a plus

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English. Arabic language will be a plus

  • Ability to travel extensively within the region, i.e. approximately 60 % of calendar time
