Application Development / Sales Technical Specialist, Kevlar® (Job Number: RES00004216)


DuPont™ Kevlar® and Nomex®, one of the DuPont Safety and Construction’s main businesses, is working on Innovative solutions to Mechanical Protection, Thermal Apparel, Energy Solutions, Life Protection and Auto challenges. To support the development of our applications, we are currently seeking an Application Development / Sales Technical Specialist, Kevlar® who would be located in Geneva - Switzerland.

Main responsibilities can be summarized as follows:

  • Provide technical support and develop solutions’ references with main focus on Kevlar® based solutions to our customers in areas such as: Mechanical Industrial.

  • Strongly collaborate with our Marketing and Sales Team in EMEA, and our target customers acting as keyTechnical resource and providing technical support for growth.

  • Develop and lead new product/application developments in Mechanical Protection areas in collaboration with a strong technical team, bring new solutions to the market within the Science of Protection and Comfort.

  • Develop testing and processing protocols to support new applications, value propositions, and end-user qualifications.

  • Demonstrate hands-on approach on lab and production equipment, being capable of fine tuning processes, testing methods, and openly collaborating with Laboratory Technicians.

  • Write and publish technical papers, conduct technical seminars, participate to conferences or other industry forums, to increase product awareness in the market place.

  • Proactively contribute to regional and global business teams and networks.



  • Degree in Textile engineering; chemical and/or mechanical background would be a plus.

  • Previous experience (3-5 years) with technical service to internal and external customers and work in a technical environment with demonstrated achievements in the field of Textiles.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English; German or other languages would be a plus.

  • Project management experience from defining the objective and scope, to follow-up of actions, reporting and sharing the results. Strong analytical skills.

  • Experience with Design Of Experiments would be a plus.

  • Proactivity and self-initiative: able to work without close supervision.

  • Willingness to learn and continuously develop.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ease of internal and external interaction in a diverse environment.

  • Strong communication skills for day-to-day job and interaction with external and internal customers.

  • Willing to travel (40%).

  • Compliant with safety guidelines, business ethics and internal control processes.
