Your purpose will be to lead Corteva’s global initiatives and sustainability efforts in EMEA to position the Division as a thought leader and Market Shaper. The leader will be accountable to develop strategies and initiatives consistent with the Corteva brand and market shaper goals. The leader will be the key interface for the EMEA commercial team to support facilities/operations and interface for external stakeholders for developing and implementing strategic projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead sustainability program within EMEA to ensure reporting, communication and stakeholder engagement is consistent with Corteva goals

  • Key interface with regional Seed Platform, Crop Protection Platform, Integrated Operations and Commercial Leaders to develop and align on company level sustainability strategy, goals, commitments, external reporting and communications

  • Develop external stakeholder engagement strategy and link to professional organizations

  • Benchmark and gain insights from external sources

  • Sustainability partner in Signature Community Investment Program(s)

  • Facilitate Global Initiatives programs within EMEA, including Ag Development programs

Qualifications

Specific skills/experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in industry affairs or NGO management

  • Understanding of agriculture industry dynamics in the region and globally

  • Experience in developing relations with various industry stakeholders (NGOs, scientific groups etc)

  • Ability to understand business needs and work proactively to develop solutions that are aligned with commercial needs

  • Understands sustainability expectations from multiple stakeholders and can balance the need for financial goals with the increasing external expectations.

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work through others to accomplish goals and milestones

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the demonstrated ability to influence, promote and excel within teams.

  • Strategy development and implementation skills

  • Ability to write content and critically review communications across multiple audiences

  • Strong oral communication skills

  • Results oriented and ability to lead initiatives from synthesis to implementation

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
