Supply Planning Analyst, Oilcrops (Job Number: SUP00001702)



The Supply Planning Analyst, Oilcrops owns the successful execution of the end-to-end parent and commercial volume and supply planning processes for sunflower, soy, and oilseed rape product lines for Corteva Agriscience. The Analyst connects with colleagues across the region and globe and works in a cross-functional environment with regular collaboration with Integrated Operations, marketing, and finance.


Responsible for the operational and transactional processes relating to the commercial oilseeds crop plan, including developing and maintaining data collection systems, updating systems, communicating with local production teams, and ensuring effective operational flow.

Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and communicating issues with availability and quality of parent seed; coordinating cross-regional supply replacement; supporting timely parent sourcing and delivery processes for parent and commercial production.


  1. Manage the Commercial Volume, Supply and Acreage Planning Process (50%)

  2. Develop a commercial crop plan for Sunflowers, Soy and Oil Seed Rape

  3. Own the volume planning tool : ensure accuracy of data and assumptions relating to inventories and forecast

  4. Communicate cross-functionally to make sure information flow is accurate and ensure global systems are updated

  5. Serve as point of contact for cross-regional supply, communicating production needs using global processes

  6. Coordinate the regional acreage planning processes for Oil Crops:

  • Define and drive the calendar of acreage planning activities;

  • Define regional supply strategy at product level;

  • Drive the regional budget yield setting processes aligned to global standards:

i. Develop and improve data analytics related to yield setting for regional and local production locations;

ii. Provide hybrid-level recommendations for budget yield by growing location, considering all relevant data available;

iii. Lead regional budget yield setting process and meetings;

iv. Ensure all volume, supply, and growing plans are completed on-time and aligned to expectations;

  • Communicate growing plan to local field operations teams and monitor changes

  • Ensure system and data accuracy related to all commercial production;

  • Track, report, and control all in-season supply estimates against relevant KPI.

  • Partner with local production teams to ensure all parent and commercial volume and acreage planning activities are aligned to local needs.

  • Monitor demand and supply of commercial materials, determining WP recovery options as needed.

  1. Coordinate Parent Supply Planning Processes (30%):

  2. Coordinate with marketing and product management to ensure accurate signal for Plus 2 sales, with special attention to new and retiring products.

  3. Ensure End-to-End process is adhered to : monitor commercial volumes in line with standards and lifecycle changes

  4. Liaise with global parent team to ensure accurate planning of parent production

  5. Provide early signals to commercial and IO teams regarding inbred availability, shortages.

  6. Enter, track, and control all parent sourcing signals for European production.

  7. Problem solve any issue related to parent sourcing, and be proactive in finding solutions to problems.

  8. Be an engine for Continuous Improvement for Oil Crops Acreage and Supply Planning (20%)

  9. Drive the Sensitive Product analysis for Oil Crops, finding ways to use existing and innovating new data points to understanding genetic profiles of inbreds / hybrids. Drive produceability improvements through the use of Sensitive Products strategy, via cross-functional collaboration

  10. Support development of Hybrid Product Profiles for Oil Crops

  11. Develop a Production Risk Factor strategy for Oil Crops, manage the process and hybrid specific implementation

  12. Serve as key contact with sales and marketing for reliability and produceability information related to life cycle and product management.

  13. Support SAP and systems standardization and improvements in acreage and supply planning processes, leveraging experiences to propose and implement new ways of doing business.



  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s degree, MBA or advanced certification an advantage


  • 5-7 years’ experience in operations or operations planning;

  • Meaningful experience in a multinational supply chain; preferably in agri-business

  • Excellent analytical skills, proven ability to work with complex data (databases and complex spreadsheet)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with many key stakeholder across functions.

  • Ability to motivate and influence across functions and reporting lines.

  • Dynamic: ability to prioritize work, work under time constraints, work under pressure, manage complexity and uncertainty.

  • SAP transactional and reporting experience.

  • MS Access, SQL, BusinessObjects, and Tableau or similar database experience preferred

  • Fluency in English with an additional European languages preferred.
