Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ is recruiting for a dynamic technology professional to join our team in Johnston, Iowa as our Application Management and Support Lead for HR, legal, and some training applications. In this role you will work closely with IT leadership, internal teams, business/functions and our vendors to manage the HR application portfolio for the Corteva Agriscience™ division. You will have responsibility for managing IT service providers, and third party contractors responsible for day-to-day operations of the HR and Legal Application portfolio.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the service delivery of the HRapplications portfolio. The portfolio may include other related applications aswell (legal, for example)

  • EstablishManaged Services model for application support for the global HR and Legal applicationportfolio

  • Provide leadership, coaching anddirection to a team of highly skilled global workforce. In addition, hire andtrain staff, both employees and contingent workers globally

  • Incorporate operational excellencestandards into daily operations to continually improve performance &availability

  • Responsible for integrated incident,change and problem management

  • Responsible for communications andinterfacing with internal and external stakeholders impacted, or potentiallyimpacted, by service disruption, additions, changes, and/or reductions inservice

  • Develop application-related change andrelease management plans in partnership with Enterprise Platforms &Applications teams

  • Plan and coordinate environment changesin the application environment

  • Partner with IT stakeholders, end-to-endservice integration team and external vendors, as needed, to plan and driveimplementation of change requests impacting the portfolio

  • Maintain production environmentsincluding installation/deployment of operating system updates, securitypatches, configuration changes, and application updates

  • Validate and ensure all softwarecomponents have sufficient license entitlements and maintenance contracts inplace, as required for the application

  • Identify and implement serviceimprovements and process improvements

  • Ensure the audit requirements andprocesses are followed strictly and represent the application, if selected foraudit. Implement and monitor controls defined by the internal controlsstandards manual

  • Responsible for disaster recovery andbusiness continuity planning

  • Responsible for 24x7 365 application availability

  • Responsible for application lifecyclemanagement in collaborating with the Enterprise Platforms group and theEnterprise architects for large upgrades, App decommissioning etc.

  • Lead/manage the transition from projectsto production support team

Accountabilities:

  • Application service level targets (e.g., availability,performance) met or exceeded

  • Timely investigation and resolution of Application issuesthrough coordination with User Support teams

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Overall 10+ yearsof experience with at least 5+ yearsof relevant experience in HR applications like SAP HCM or Workday and HR Integrations

  • Strong experience in application support

  • Strong Knowledge for hire to retire processes

  • Experience and exposure to application support fortraining, legal and other applications (Java or .Net)

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology,engineering or related field.

  • Management degree from a Top Tier MBA institute will bean advantage

Technical Competencies:

  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise applications and thesupported business processes

  • Ability learn and upskill on new technologies, processesand applications

  • Experience working with Vendors, product roadmaps andsupport lifecycles

  • Understanding of ITIL processes

Leadership Competencies:

  • Work with cross-functional global teams

  • Manage externally-contracted vendor resources

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge and Understanding of Internal Controls
