Responsibilities - What youwill do

  • Be a thought leader and show a passion to continuously learn,improve, and share your knowledge

  • Strive to ride the latest industry trends on softwaredevelopment technologies, practices, and processes

  • Mentor and promote technical design, coding, and testingcompetencies in other developers

  • Engage with our automation engineers, UI/UX team, enterprise architects, andothers to help build and maintain standards and shared solutions

  • Actively work on an agile development team with softwaredevelopers, business analysts, product owners, and test analysts

  • Work closely withEngineering and Automation Specialists to identify best in class hardware andcontrol strategies to create effective, deployable solutions

  • Analyze, design, develop, and support a variety of new andexciting multi-tier, high-performance solutions for R&D


Key Qualifications - What youwill bring

Minimum qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience developing high performance multi-tierapplications using avariety of technologies

  • 2+ years of experience architecting complex solutions such as Warehouse Control Systems andManufacturing Execution Systems, including integration with IndustrialManufacturing, Material Handling or Lab Automation equipment

  • Possess excellent software architecture design, problem solvingskills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineeringteams and business partners

  • Experience with object-oriented and web developmenttechnologies

  • Designing systems using complex relational database systems andrelated software frameworks

  • Strong working experience with development processes, practices,and software engineering design principals

  • Demonstrated familiarityand a desire to work closelywith state of the art technologies inthe following areas: control systems integration, controls architectures,PLC’s, motion control systems, electro-mechanical drive systems, robotics, partsensing, vision, risk assessment, and safety systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable, but not required :

  • Experience with ResearchIndustry 4.0 Technologies (IIoT, Augmented Reality, Proximal Sensing), DeepLearning, Vision Systems and Material Handling (AS/RS, Collaborative Robots,Self-Guided Vehicles)

  • Azure or AWS experience

  • Background or interest in biology, genetics, or agriculture andthe ability to understand complex scientific problems

  • Experience with Angular, Typescript, C#, .Net, Node, andRESTful API Services

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and development tools, suchas, Git and Jira

  • Experience with agile development methodologies such as Kanbanand Scrum
