We are seeking a Reporting Domain Architect to unleash the value of data in ways that create value for our customers, employees and broader stakeholder communities.

We're looking for candidates who possess deep knowledge of architecture and processes relevant to the reporting, reporting tools, data analysis, and analytics. In this role, you will define and maintain technology road maps, current state and target state definitions, and inventories of assets relevant to front end reporting (e.g., applications, data models, services). You will ensure consistent principles in line with enterprise architecture guidelines are applied across the domain.

You'll utilize your effective communication skills in this role to collaborate with top business, science and technology experts as well as third party providers to create best practices and identify innovative strategies for delivering internal and external data to decision-makers across the globe. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze functional requirements and generate high level solution options

  • Estimate benefits, costs and other implications of different solution options

  • Engage with other Architects, Specialists, and Analysts to provide recommendations on technology platforms and high level solution architecture

  • Participate in design reviews to assess solution architectures proposed by Solution Developers

  • Follow functional direction from Enterprise architects to ensure technical solution designs align with enterprise architecture standards and principles

  • Provide solutions to architecture-related roadblocks during implementation

  • Propagate domain architectural standards and guidelines, key learnings from past solution implementations to teams within the specific domain

  • Maintain consistency of architectural principles across systems and applications within domain

  • Develop processes, tools, and standards to be followed for solution development within the specific domain

  • Develop reporting solutions in coordination with the front-end developers and back-end modelers

  • Support broader Enterprise Architecture processes (e.g. Architecture Review Board)

  • Leverage directional guidance from Enterprise architects to build and refresh technology roadmaps for the specific domain

  • Partner with Enterprise architects to drive innovation thought leadership within the specific domain by assessing emerging technologies, and appropriately recommending adoption within Enterprise

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within specific domain to increase project delivery success and implementation efficiency

Accountabilities

  • Technology solutions adhere to domain-specific and Enterprise architectural principles

  • Processes, tools and standards are kept updated on par with industry standards

  • Technology roadmaps created for front-end reporting

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in information technology

  • 7+ years of data and analytics experience reporting againstcomplex and large data sets across multiple source systems.

  • High quality analytical skills

  • Proven track record in delivering BI projects through all phases(requirements gathering, data/process modelling, design through testing,training, deployment and support)

  • Experience developing reports in SAP Business Warehouse, SAPBusinessObjects, SAP Hana, Tableau, Power BI, or similar enterprise reportingtools required

Technical Competencies

  • Deep expertise with advanced statistical techniques and concepts

  • Knowledge of data platforms and tools

  • High quality analytical skills

  • Extensive experience in delivering business intelligence solutionswith BI front-end toolsets

  • Extensive experience in report development tools, analytics, anddashboards

  • Experience with data warehousing structures and schemas.

  • Understanding of the key data and BI architectures

  • Proven track record in designing, developing and implementing BIand reporting solutions

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong communicator (verbal and written); ability to talk todifferent disciplines of stakeholders at all levels of the organization
