IFS Continuous Improvement Project Manager (Job Number: 195033W-05)
Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™, is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Project Manager who will work as part of the Integrated Field Sciences (IFS) Innovation & Continuous Improvement team utilizing Six Sigma, Lean, change management and other process improvement methodologies. The Continuous Improvement Project Manager will collaborate with IFS leaders on strategic projects focused on process improvement and organizational effectiveness. Responsibilities will include leadership in developing and tracking detailed project plans, determining and utilizing the most effective analytical/measurement tools, developing recommendations and implementation plans that improve processes and the organizational effectiveness of the Integrated Field Sciences group.
Participate in the identification ofimprovement projects by collaborating with Integrated Field Sciences leadersand team members.
Effectively manage a complex portfolioof projects.
Lead project teams in the execution ofprojects utilizing Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies asappropriate. This includes identifying project teams, preparing detailedproject plans and process maps, determining the most appropriate analytical andmeasurement tools to apply, and assisting project teams to developrecommendations for process change, as well as comprehensive implementation andcommunication plans.
Work with project teams to ensureimprovement projects are completed in a timely manner and deliver expected,measurable results.
Follow all phases of Six Sigma or otherprocess improvement methodologies, including completion of financial validationof project benefits in order to achieve and sustain project benefits.
Receive and utilize feedback aboutproject management from the project teams and management. Keep sponsors, key stakeholders, managementand team members informed of project status.
Develop functional expertise and serveas a thought partner in assigned process areas and project teams.
Provide guidance/coaching to teammembers and Green Belts on the tools and concepts of Lean/Six Sigma to advanceprojects from concept to completion.
Bachelor’s degree and five or moreyears of industry or research experience; or equivalent amounts of educationand experience. Advanced degreepreferred. Agricultural field researchexperience is desired.
Current, working knowledge ofdigital/remote sensing tools and their application toward phenotyping.
Previous process improvement experienceand Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
Able to quickly develop functionalexpertise and act as a thought leader in process design.
Desire and ability to drive change,demonstrate leadership and team management skills, and lead through influenceversus control.
Ability to effectively communicate,work within a team setting, motivate teams and individuals, and build andmaintain good relationships.
