US Payroll Manager (DuPont Pioneer) (Job Number: 018421W-01)


DuPont Pioneer has a US Payroll Manager position available. Reporting to the Global HR Operations Leader, the Pioneer US Payroll Manager is responsible for regional management and delivery of all US and Puerto Rico payroll through a number of geographically dispersed payroll teams. This role will manage all aspects of US payroll operations delivering payroll of $600 million annually to 7,000 employees. This work includes payroll processing, payroll tax administration, payroll controls and compliance, payroll systems maintenance, and payroll projects across multiple legal entities.

  • Oversee all Pioneer US / Puerto Rico payrolloperations, accountable for effective and efficient delivery of payrollacross the payroll team

  • Evaluate and advance payroll service delivery model(s)while establishing and evolving processes and standards that consistentlydeliver against Company objectives

  • Maintain currency of market knowledge in Payroll bestpractices and solutions, as well as changing compliance environment andapply these to improve efficiency, effectiveness and deliver businessoutcomes

  • Establish robust control and compliance environment fordelivery of Payroll including support to Benefits Delivery

  • Own integration of Payroll processes with otherprocesses such as HR Direct, Workday, Benefits, Workforce Administration,and Accounting to ensure accuracy and completeness of services includingCompany records

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key internal andexternal stakeholders such as HR, Finance (Accounting, Treasury, Tax),Legal, and governmental agencies/authorities

  • Manage, lead, coach and develop Payroll team members,providing guidance on workload, priorities, assignments, and performance

  • Own 3rd party vendor strategic relationships with,driving for consistency and quality in service delivery

  • Act as owner, leader, and/or project manager of key USPayroll projects and for Payroll workstream in other projects, overseeingPayroll team members in a similar capacity

In order to be qualified for thisrole, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or in a field related tothe primary responsibilities, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of seven years related work experience inpayroll that includes:

  • Responsibility for medium to large Payroll operation

  • Re-engineering payroll delivery model and associatedprocesses

  • Leading projects such as payroll systemsimplementation, payroll support to M&A events

  • Supervision of payroll staff

  • Working knowledge of legal requirements affecting USpayroll operations such as Federal, state and local taxation, ERISA, FLSAand DOL regulations

  • Experience implementing payroll and time andadministration systems would be a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills, strong ability toprioritize and multitask in a high volume environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead,coach, and work in a team, as well as autonomously.

  • Experience with Time and Attendance or Compensationdelivery (processes, systems and data) for a Company is an asset

  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office products includingWord, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Certified Payroll Professional credentials
