Support the global PS&R compliance programs for technical enzymes and chemicals across multiple IB businesses.
Execute exposure assessments for the IB business in support of regulations (e.g. REACH) as well as safe handling of enzymes.
Design and conduct exposure assessments in support safe handling of IB products for IB customers’ applications, regulatory compliance, new technology and product introductions
Conduct Product Stewardship Risk Assessments for products and process changes including collection of exposure data and conducting hazard assessments
Provide support for product launches and regulatory compliance related to exposure assessments and risk assessments
Provide support for technical enzymes and chemicals compliance work e.g. REACH registrations, product notifications, and customer inquiries
Participate in new product development teams as the PS&R representative
Understand the environmental, health and safety impacts of IB products and have general knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements
Develop and provide training programs for customers on the safe use of products
General Competencies (years of experience: 5-10):
Understanding and experience in conducting risk assessments including hazard identification and exposure assessments across the value chain of a product
Industrial Hygiene expertise including designing and conducting air monitoring studies. for industrial and consumer applications
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and participate in diverse, multi-functional, multicultural, cross geographic teams and networks
Demonstrated skills in communications, networking, and interpersonal relationships
Self-starter, willingness to take initiative
Understanding of environmental, health and safety control methodology
Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement regulations
Project management skills/experience
Demonstrated computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), the ability to manage and navigate IB databases.The ability to independently obtain data and documents from the internet
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or related technical field, such as biotechnology, industrial hygiene, toxicology
English is a must; any other European language is a plus.
