NATURE OF WORK

Responsible for the coordination and execution of day-to-day Quality & Food Safety related activities to support the business, associated products, and our customers. Individual to ensure that the requirements and expectations of the business and of our customers are met and in compliance to relevant quality and food safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Ensure adherence to all quality management systems and accreditations with an understanding of DuPont’s Quality and Environmental policies and procedures; including, but not limited to, ISO FSSC 22000 , GFSI, cGMP, ICH Q7

Create and maintain product statements and customer facing documentation (i.e., Product Descriptions, Certificates of Analysis, Safety Data Sheets, Certificates, and Statements)

Complete customer requests related to the products and manufacturing environment in a timely manner (i.e. product questionnaires, specifications, plant quality information)

Coordinate and manage production of contracted materials

Manage approval of raw material and packaging suppliers and ingredients

Facilitate investigation and follow-up in the scope of customer complaint management.

Manage product master data within SAP and participate in the SAP information flow process for new products and product changes

Facilitate activities with regards to customer specific product requests and requirements

Facilitate activities with regards to export related requirements and product registrations

Manage activities with regards to Kosher and Halal related requests and certificates

Facilitate activities with regards to packaging, labeling, and product traceability

Support other company workflows (i.e., product return, derogation processes regarding early release, and quality deviation)

Interact and support appropriate key stakeholders, including but not limited to: operations, QC, QA, Sales, customer service/care, product management and regulatory

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have a four-year bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field

Must have relevant experience in the food ingredient industry or Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment

Must have the ability to operate both independently and in a team environment

Must have the ability to problem solve using analytical skills

Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Knowledge of SAP and ability to utilize various computer based data management systems is desired

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position operates in an office environment

Travel to other DuPont sites and to both customers and suppliers’ locations may be necessary

SCOPE OF POSITION

This position reports directly to the Quality & Food Safety Supervisor and has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Management reserves the right to add or change the duties of this position at any time.
