Position Summary:

NAFTA Senior Account Manager for the Dietary Supplements/Probiotics reports to the Regional Sales Leader North America. In this role, SAM’s:

  • Achieve maximum sustainable top-line growth andprofitability of probiotic dietary supplements in the NAFTA region by:

  • Exploringnew business development opportunities across multiple sales channels andadjacent markets.

  • Expandingcurrent customer probiotics business by bringing new science, clinical data andindications to the marketplace.

  • Proficientlyutilizing in CRM tool Salesforce.com to develop new and manage existing business.

  • Developingkey account plans with Core Customers, Regional Product Managers and marketingteams.

  • Demonstrate inspirational leadership behaviorand embody DuPont’s Core Values of safety, ethics, people treatment, andenvironmental stewardship while interacting with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive growth with customers in the NAFTA region.Seek ways to leverage the organization’s flexibility and develop the best inclass offerings with our customers.

  • Build strong and sustainable relationships withkey customers.

  • Develop new business through lead hunting viatrade shows, industry associations, and other business development activities.

  • Negotiate key contracts with customers, sales leadership,and legal teams to defend existing market position and nurture future businessgrowth.

  • Manage saleforce.com opportunity pipeline whileensuring alignment between sales, demand management, and supply chain teams.

  • Monitor customer and competitor landscape, andinform internal stakeholders of notable trends, changes, and risks.

  • Actively participate in industry teams andinnovation teams to evolve and develop our standard and custom product offerings.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business,engineering, microbiology or related field.

  • 10+ years of dietary supplements, probiotics, orpharma industry experience.

  • 10+ years of customer facing experience.

  • Excellent communication, planning, and dataanalysis skills.

  • Ability to maintain strong drive and high energyin a fast-paced and rapidly evolving business environment.

  • Effective time management and prioritization skillsfor balancing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a complexmatrix organization.

  • Experience working with dietary supplementsbrand owners, private label or consumer brand owners and contractmanufacturers.

  • Deep understanding of FDMC, Natural andecommerce retail environments.

  • Strong background in consumer products salescycle.

  • Skilled user of consumer market data such asEuromonitor, Nielsen, and SPINS.

  • Skilled in revenue and product forecasting.

  • Ability to influence and build positive workingrelationships with coworkers and customers.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office software includingOutlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for customervisits, trade shows, conferences, and team meetings.

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • MBAor other graduate degree.

  • Knowledge of microbiome science, probioticstrains, and associated clinical benefits.

  • Knowledge of probiotic formulation and effectivedelivery systems.

  • Certification in continuous improvementmethodology such as Six Sigma or Lean.
