Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ has an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate at our Carman Manitoba Research Centre. The Research Associate is a key member of the team responsible for assisting with Pioneer product testing in western Canada. The position requires the successful execution of yield trials, disease and herbicide screening of Pioneer products, and the evaluation of breeding material products.
What do we expect from you?
Work with the team at Carman to execute our corn, canola, andsoybean field testing programs.
The main activities that this position will lead and be involvedin include the selection of suitable testing locations, coordination of allfield activities including seedbed preparation, planting, site and plotmaintenance, timely harvest, and data collection and analysis as required.
This data is used in the advancement decisions by Corteva Agriscience™, as we develop new soybeanvarieties and corn and canola hybrids for western Canada.

What do we need from you?
B.Sc. in Agriculture, agronomy, plant science or scientific-relatedfield.
2-4 years relevantexperience or equivalent level of relevant education and experience.
Experience in field crop research an asset.
Requires an individual with strong organizational skills,self-motivated and good interpersonal skills to foster teamwork.
Mechanical aptitude to effectively operate, maintain and servicesophisticated research equipment.
Ability to use personal computer with Microsoft Office andsoftware for data analysis.
Possess or able to obtain a pesticide applicator’s license.
Must be able to transport heavy equipment.
Possess or able to obtain appropriate driving permit/s as requiredby provincial law.
