Process Engineer (Job Number: 195502W-01)



  • Provides process, materials, and/or equipment engineering technical expertise in a technology

  • area to manufacturing operations to maintain production performance or restore process capability

  • when the product or standard process is no longer stable, predictable or in control.

  • Participates as part of a team to upgrade products and processes by implementing modifications

  • ranging from incremental daily improvements to technology game changes.

  • Develops improved process instrumentation and control strategies, process safety, yields, capacity

  • and uptime performance.

  • Helps to train personnel and build in the manufacturing line organization to maintain and enhance

  • operations.

  • Serves as first response to plant technical issues and assists in trouble shooting process or

  • equipment issues.

  • Implements Best Practices for manufacturing • process.

  • Lead multiple site minor projects this includes leading a project team, plan projects and establish the criteria by which project success will be measured. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing project inspection criteria, coordinating the review of project designs and ensuring the proper implementation of project elements.   • Learns the operating process(es) to which assigned

  • Learns the technology of the process(es) to which assigned

  • Provides technical oversight of day – to – day operations

  • Assists Operations and Maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem solving

  • Works with Operations to improve safety, yield, and uptime

  • Recognizes when process is not in control, and understands the steps needed to address.

  • Identifies and implements solutions to manufacturing issues related to technology

  • Assists in Operator & Mechanic Training

  • Leads Technology Elements of PSM (Process Technology, PHA, Management of Change-Technology)

  • Leads MT and productivity related improvements for the unit(s)

  • Collaborate with the Senior Engineers to create more efficient methods and maintain profitability

  • Develop the specifications for all equipment that is required for each project

  • Create the framework used to develop and monitor project metrics and manage the collection of project data

  • Formulate realistic parameters for each project, including design elements and implementation procedures

  • Establish the methods by which all field tests are administered and develop various ways to monitor the quality of those tests


  • A Bachelor's degree required; Engineering or related fieldMinimum of three to five years of working experience within manufacturing (food manufacturing preferred)

  • Auto CAD experience preferred

  • MS Office experience, Excel, Project Management

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (acquired on the job)

  • Knowledge of process development & process equipment design

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Strong writing and communication skills; including English communication

  • Strong planning and organizing skills

  • Ability to manage, analyze and present process data effectively to a global team.

  • Ability to be effective in a rapidly growing, dynamic & often changing business environment

  • Chemical Process Operations experience is preferred.
