ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ( Enablers Product Service)

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure that the basic agreement with customers on product quality is correct. Link between customer and production on review of product specification requests for NAFTA. (US, Mexico and Canada).

  • Approve, create and maintain files of all product specifications for raw materials, intermediates and finished products (raw material specifications, product descriptions, basic data for production manuals) for NAFTA..

  • Create and Maintain Product Statements (i.e. GMO, allergen, organic, other), Product Descriptions, SDS.

  • Support day to day activities with regards to product related documents (i.e. Product Descriptions, Certificates of Analysis, Product Statements, etc). Completion of Customer Questionnaires in a timely manner.

  • Assist in the management of NAFTA non-conforming products (dispositions) and returned goods. Coordinate with Business Product Management on old inventory and non-compliance trends. Participate in solving quality problems. Shelf life extensions.

  • Participate in dispositions on slow- moving inventory

  • Setting up new products (NPR). Use of systems such as “Product Life” and SAP including COA creation, Label creation and Religious certification set up.

  • Regulatory guidance to sales, customers and others – using input from Danisco Regulatory personnel as needed. To be involved with activities relating to product safety, legality and quality of our products.

  • Competent use of systems, including Outlook, Genesis, SAP, Salesforce.com, Product Life, PD manager.

  • Participate in the handling and resolution of customer complaints using the Global Complaint system.

  • Carry out other Q&FS related activities in conjunction with the production facilities; for example vendor compliance issues, raw material variations, product variances, etc

  • Interact and support appropriately key stakeholders; including Operations/ QC, Business, Customer Service/ Care, Sales and of course our Customers.

  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

  • Compliance with all Company policies is required.

  • Other functions as required (non-essential functions).

  • Ensure adherence to all management systems including, ISO 9000:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18000 and Food Safety, with an understanding of DuPont’s Quality and Environmental Policies and procedures. Specifically the coordinator will provide appropriate support in the maintenance of Global Food Safety accreditation (GFSI/ BRC).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related area

  • Possess knowledge of the products and processes the company employs

  • Additional requirements include an ability to operate independently and make decisions without supervision in ambiguous situations.

  • Good interpersonal skills are required, as the incumbent must be able to function in a team environment and as a team leader, when required.
