Computational Chemistry Research Scientist (Job Number: 194391W-01)


Corteva Agriscience TM , Agriculture Division of DowDuPont TM is seeking a Computational Chemist to be located at the Haskell Global Center for Health Sciences site in Newark, DE.

The successful candidate will bring experience in the application and development of computational-based methods. This position represents an opportunity to become part of an exciting team of scientists supporting a broad portfolio of research and development activities.

The Computational Chemist will work closely with an outstanding group of toxicologists, pathologists, specialists in environmental science, physical chemists, design scientists, chemical informatics specialists, and information scientists with the goal of ensuring that Corteva Agriscience TM products are safe for their intended uses from the perspective of workers, customers, consumers, and the environment, while also meeting all associated global regulatory requirements.


  • Advanced degree in a relevantdiscipline with experience in the application and development of predictivecomputational approaches.

  • Experience with, and a record ofaccomplishment in areas like the application and development of QSAR approaches,predictive ADME, machine learning methods, molecular similarity approaches,etc.

  • Comfortable organizing and working withlarge datasets of information, and cheminformatics principles.

  • Hands-on experience with programinglanguages and commercial/open access predictive software packages.

  • Excellent communication skills and ademonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a high-performingpredictive toxicology team.
