We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative in Canada!

We are looking for a dynamic individual with an intimate knowledge of and passion for the Food Industry in Canada to fulfill our Sales Representative position. As a sales rep for DuPont Nutrition & Health (N&H), you would serve as the primary face to the customer, representing all N&H products while maintaining and growing existing business, initiating new opportunities and by communicating the needs of the territory. In addition, the Sales Representative is responsible for the development of solid technical knowledge of the entire N&H product portfolio to serve the needs of the customers. These will be achieved by:

  • A solid understanding of customer business and food industry trends

  • Active participation in local associations and trade organizations

  • Providing technical/application information to customers with the assistance the applications team

  • Develop a thorough understanding of channels to market

  • Participation in industry team training programs

  • Ensure regional strategy implementation

  • office location in Mississauga, Ontario. Preferred location, Greater Toronto Area

Qualifications

You will be a great fit for this position if you can fulfill the following qualifications:

  • Four (4) year college degree in food science, dairy science or other life science curriculum

  • Intimate knowledge of the food industry which includes dairy, bakery, bars, meat solutions, confectionary, beverages

  • Technical marketing and/or product sales related to selling functional food ingredients

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of customer activity under a variety of conditions and constraints

  • Theories, principles and models of the sales process

  • Skilled communicator that can work in a team and communicate with many other types of groups to reach a common understanding of business needs

  • This position may require up to 25% travel based on territory and customer location

  • MS Office, SalesForce.com

  • You have common sense and want to work with a dynamic and fun team

In addition, you have the ability to:

  • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Active listening.

  • Identify customer needs and propose solutions in accordance with customer requirements
