DuPont Circuit & Industrial Technologies (C&IT) is focused on market development and support of Electronic materials to grow C&IT’s leadership position in the Defense Industry. DuPont C&IT seeks to hire an OEM Key Account Manager to develop and manage our “downstream” customers. Working backward from their unmet needs while educating, informing and building awareness of superior electronic materials and the value they add to end systems in major Defense platforms are core components of this role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for downstream “pull” and market development Electronic Material product offerings with downstream influencers and stakeholders

  • Manage key downstream accounts while developing market development and account management plans

  • Develop key relationships at downstream customers, industry associations, and government agencies

  • Communicate product benefits and the DuPont positioning to help customers and the industry understand the value for Pyralux®, Kapton®, Interra® and all Electronic Materials

  • Help promote C&IT platform by guiding and participating in industry conferences, design councils and speaking opportunities

  • Work with the C&IT sales and marketing team to collaborate with other partners across the value chain to help realize revenue from downstream successes

  • Work with selected co-marketing partners to grow them, align objectives and build commitment for mutual success

  • Work with multi-disciplinary DuPont team, consisting of Applications Engineering, R&D, Technical Services, Operations, Marketing, and Sales to service our customer with the high DuPont standard

  • Develops and manages KPIs specific to “pull through” business

  • Contribute to global/regional marketing plan based on market-driven needs

  • Serve as the regional/country point of contact for marketing related communications as needed

This position will be located in Richmond, VA or East Coast US with customers throughout North America

The role scope is North America but may have international travel as needed.



Qualifications – Required

  • B.S. or B.A. plus experience working in technically-oriented businesses

  • At least 5 years work experience in commercially oriented roles, including marketing, business development, sales, or strategy

  • Experience in the government and/or defense industries

  • Holds a secret security clearance (or able to obtain), and understands ITAR & Commerce Control regulations

  • Proven track record of material qualification(s) for new federal programs of record, either directly with the government agency or OEM(s)

  • Intellectual curiosity coupled with a strong drive towards execution

  • Strong influence management and ability to work with and gain alignment across a wide range of functions and cultures

  • Ability to quickly understand and assimilate emerging technologies, products and processes

  • Results oriented: taking initiative, overcoming obstacles, finding creative solutions, demonstrating a track record of setting clear priorities and goals and delivering against them

  • Highly effective relationship development and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications, and presentation skills

  • Self-starter; independent achiever and highly motivated

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%-40% of the time

Qualifications – Desired

  • MBA degree or equivalent work experience

  • Defense OEM sales experience, electronic materials or application provider

  • Early stage innovation experience

  • Project management experience
