For your awareness, DuPont has announced their intent to sell the DuPont Teijin Films (DTF) business, which you are joining, to Indorama Ventures Limited (IVL) with an anticipated closing date in the second quarter of 2018. At closing, you will become an employee of Indorama Ventures Limited (IVL).

  • This role provides technical expertise to the customer in the development and application of products, processing techniques, and resolution of complex problems

  • Technical resource to sales professionals, distributors, customer and other internal/external partners

  • Contributes technical expertise to translating product data into effective marketing and sales tools

  • May assist organization with environmental and regulatory product issues, product improvements,competitive positioning of existing product offering and new business product developments

  • May work closely with technology and marketing by providing voice of customer relative to product performance and expectations of product attributes

  • Will provide leadership to multi-functional groups to ensure the satisfaction of the customer needs,including but not limited to: specification integrity, continuous improvement on quality performance, effective complaint investigation resolution process,product development (toolbox level),application development and leading projects and trials

  • May assist organization with environmental and regulatory product issues, product improvements, competitive positioning of existing product offering and new business product developments.

  • May work closely with technology and marketing by providing voice of customer relative to product performance and expectations of product attributes.

  • Leadership role in the transfer of knowledge, and delivery of results for internal continuous improvement, including but not limited to account planning/ development teams, EBITDA improvement projects, business simplification, market analysis/development and mid-term plan.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in process engineering, operations, R&D, or applications.

  • Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, Engineering, or Applied Science, or equivalent experience required

  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, including the ability to effectively manage multiple projects as needed

  • Stage-Gate Product Development process experience and innovative

  • Ability to develop independent initiatives

  • Demonstrated customer focus and relationship development

  • Must be effective at the customer interface, able to listen and understand customer requirements

  • Ability to manage crisis and conflicts

  • Must be willing to travel (primarily North America) 50% of the time and work extended hours as necessary to ensure customer success and resolve plant problems

  • Six Sigma, including Green Belt or Black Belt Certification highly desired or ability to achieve within one year

  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency with Lotus Notes, MS Office products and basic statistical analysis

  • Ability to influence a cross-functional team and direct and manage diverse points of view

  • Demonstrated ability to express thoughts, feelings, and ideas in a clear, succinct and compelling manner in both individual and group situations, adjusting language to capture the attention of the audience

  • Disciplined approach to troubleshooting

  • Polished written and verbal communication skills (including presentations), both internal and external

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and demonstrated ability to work with a broad cross-section of individuals from many disciplines and industry

  • Preferred: 3+ years technical experience in a plastic film or sheet industry, or prior experience in the packaging industry (preferably food)
