SOX Compliance Analyst (Job Number: ADM00002077)
The SOX Compliance Specialist assists the senior management in defining the control objectives and monitoring compliance efforts.
The SOX Compliance Specialist will review test findings within the Internal/External Audit Team, facilitate the remediation of control gaps, and escalate possible critical issues to the senior management of the company.
The SOX Compliance Specialist identifies areas of potential improvement for key processes and procedures and supports the management of the related processes and procedures.
He is responsible for working with different business owners on implementation, execution and compliance with entity level controls.
The SOX Compliance Specialist evaluates the review and analyzes data pertaining to information systems functions relative to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
The SOX Compliance Specialist job candidate should have experience in Information Services including knowledge of auditing principles, auditing standards and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. He should have decent experience in IT General Computer/Application Controls and sound understanding of IT platforms, applications, and related technology. He should at least have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, accounting or finance with 3 years experience.
Must be a self-starter and able to manage projects with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Understanding of IT Audit processes and procedures a plus.
Working knowledge of GRC software a plus.
Analytical or statistical experience.
A desire to understand the systems and processes under review and Company operations, policies and procedures
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently.
Quick learner with excellent interpersonal and time management skills and is a team player who is highly motivated and detail-oriented.
