Base Pay for this role ranges between $18-20/hr. depending on qualifications, education, and experience.

In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant and warehouse operations that will evolve with each season throughout the year. You will be responsible for setting up and monitoring highly automated equipment for various processes such as harvest, conditioning, treating, and packing. At this site, during our peak packaging portion of the year, we run operations on a days shift schedule with off-shift hours and sometimes a second shift, also. Overtime and weekend work is required when needed.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Harvest activities such as preparation, sorting, drying, etc.

  • Conditioning activities such as sizing, gravity operation, bagging,palletizing, etc.

  • Return and rework activities

  • Warehousing activities including forklift operation, collecting samples,pooling, etc.

  • Gathering data for future aid in continuous improvement projects

  • Various other duties as assigned by supervisor

The Rushville facility runs a 24/7, then a 24/5 schedule during peak periods. Our 24/7 schedule runs on 12 hour shifts, with 36 total work hours one week, then 48 total work hours the following week. Our 24/5 schedule runs with three 8 hour shifts. Shift schedules for this role will vary and depend on demand. Required on-call work to ensure processes are running will apply to this role also.


The following are required:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain aCommercial Drivers License (CDL) in the future

  • Willing and able to work in a variety of areas (plant, warehouse)

  • Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing andsitting for extended periods

  • Willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dryconditions

  • Willing and able to complete work that involves repetitive motion and/orrepetitive lifting

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime hours including weekend workrequired during seasonal peaks

  • Willingness and ability to work day and swing shifts on our rotationschedule

The following are preferred:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, ContinuousImprovement and Standardized Work are a plus

  • Knowledge of production plant operations desired

  • Two years of on-the-job related agricultural, manufacturing, operations, warehousing, or production experience

  • Knowledge of field equipment desired

  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Teamwork skills

  • Experience completing maintenance PM's

  • Safety experience and background

  • Willing and able to operate forklifts

  • Computer skill sets
