The Training Facilitator responsibilities include communicating with managers to identify structured Safety & Product Quality training needs for both hourly and salaried employees and assisting management in mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. Training Facilitators also are responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, conducting, auditing, and recording of all training programs. The Training Facilitator will also assist in the deployment of the sites Safety Program as a Subject Matter Expert in the absence of the Safety Supervisor.

Our ideal candidate will have experience or considerable exposure with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs, and e-learning. Experience with different projects, like management development training, soft-skills development, and training coordination systems are also desired.

You’ll work primarily in an office setting with regular interaction taking place in high-activity production & warehouse areas. Visits to agricultural field locations may also be required. High workloads with extended hours, possible shift work, and weekend work may be required during seasonal peaks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Map out annual training plansfor management, production teams, and more in areas such as safety,health, and environment, QMS, and process work instructions

  • Design and develop trainingprograms

  • Select appropriate trainingmethods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training,professional development classes)

  • Market available training toemployees and provide necessary information about sessions

  • Conduct organization-widetraining needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that needto be addressed; ensure gap analysis is conducted between employee andskills required.

  • Monitor employee job assignmentchanges to ensure training plans stay current.

  • Use known education principlesand stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques

  • Design, prepare, and ordereducational aids and materials

  • Assess instructionaleffectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills andKPIs

  • Gather feedback from trainersand trainees after each educational session

  • Partner with internalstakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design

  • Maintain updated curriculumdatabase and training records; recommend new systems where applicable(current systems SAP)

  • Host train-the-trainer sessionsfor internal subject matter experts

  • Manage onboarding of newemployees, temporary workers, and contractors to ensure a thoroughunderstanding of policies and procedures.

  • Manage and maintain in-housetraining facilities and equipment

  • Research and recommend newtraining methods


  • Ensure the completeness andmaintenance of all records, documents, or reports related to assignedsafety & health programs

  • May assist with preparation ofreports, visual graphs, and presentation materials to communicate keysafety statistics

  • May assist with basicindustrial hygiene functions such as dosimeter & dust monitoring; and,assist with required programs inspections (i.e. emergency lighting &eye wash) and visual inspection requirements (i.e. ladders, fallprotection, & fire extinguishers)

  • Assist in incidentInvestigation and Safety Audits when necessary

  • Support location inrecord-keeping of Occupational Safety & Health programs and othercertifications for regulatory compliance

  • May serve as back-up if subject matter expert isunavailable for safety program needs


The following are required:

  • HS Diploma/GED and 2-3 years ofTeaching, Training, or Facilitation experience

  • Proven work experience as a TrainingCoordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role (significantexposure to these roles may be considered)

  • Ability to influence otherswithout direct authority

  • Hands-on experiencecoordinating multiple training events in a production-plant setting

  • Proven ability to complete fulltraining cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor andevaluate)

  • Familiarity with traditionaland modern job training methods and techniques

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Creativity to keep materialsinteresting and fresh

  • Demonstrated ability totranslate complex technical information into easily understood trainingcontent fit for Adult Learning

  • Advanced organizational skillswith the ability to handle multiple assignments

  • Strong communication skills

The following are preferred:

  • BS degree in Business,Education, Training, HR, or related field is desired – Recent grads withindustrial internship experience are welcome to apply
