Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ has an exciting opportunity for a Market Development Specialist.The Market Development Specialist, is an integral member of the Seed Applied Technology (SAT) Team reporting to the Category Leader and is accountable for developing commercial expansion of Corteva Agricience’s exciting and expanding seed treatment portfolio. The Market Development Specialist will work with marketing, other account managers and Technical Sales to build value and market adoption at all levels of the business from seed company and distributor partners to the farmer.
What do we expect from you?
Accountmanagement lead developing market opportunities for new seed applied technologyproducts with seed brands and retails in canola, soybean, corn and wheat
Coordinatebusiness development opportunities with key 3rd party seed company stakeholders(marketing, agronomy sales & business management), moving through thepurchase funnel from prospecting to commitment and product support.
Primarycontact with the appropriate balance of face to face and remote contact toeffectively develop confidence in Corteva’s brands and support partners withleading seed applied technology products
Responsiblefor product knowledge transfer, business and technical application support tointernal & external seed brands
Developand execute tactics and contact plan coordinated with overall account plan andaligned to category strategy
Collaboratewith internal sales teams and agronomist to convert SAT marketing plans andcustomer insights into territory level plans tailored to Corteva seed brands,3rd party seed partners or distribution partners focussed on delivering thebest seed applied technology solutions to farmers
Workwith Canadian Technical Agronomist, Product Manager and 3rd party technical andmarketing teams to develop and tour field testing sights as a key element ofthe strategic account plan
Contributeto forecasting & business process support for the SAT portfolio
Effectivelyco-ordinate with members of the Canadian SAT & business services team toadvance business relationship, contracts & negotiations and agronomic andapplication support to deliver industry leading seed partner partnerships
Travelrequired, 20 - 50% depending on time of the year
What do we need from you?
Degreein Marketing and/or Agricultural Science
Min7-10 years relevant sales and / or marketing experience
Knowledgeof existing local seed and seed treatment markets and products
Experiencein Account Management & market development with the demonstrated ability todevelop productive business relationships within all functions of anorganization
Understandingof business strategy and demonstrated ability to translate strategy into businessopportunities
Abilityto manage stakeholders across multiple functions within organization
Stronginterpersonal, collaboration and organizational skills.
Goodanalytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellentpresentation & communication skills (including proficiency in Excel,Powerpoint & Word)
