Our Territory Manager leads the sales effort for Pioneer® brand products. They Perform direct selling activities, provide agronomy services to local growers, and serve as a coach and leader to a team of sales representatives. This person will directly manage the assignment of customers and prospects to sales representatives. Provide leadership and vision for the distribution channel (representatives) in the district. They are responsible to administer North American Sales policies and programs to meet sales and profit goals for the district.

Location: Yorkton territory

What do we expect from you?

  • Managesales representative and performance through the establishment, communicationand clarification of expectations. Hold individuals accountable for meetingestablished performance standards. Call on customers with representatives andserve as a role model, teacher and coach to sales representatives,demonstrating sales skills and customer responsiveness. Identify customer andprospect opportunities and establish a plan to capitalize on theseopportunities with sales representatives, dealers. Provide agronomic supportand advice to growers and prospects and manage direct selling activities toassigned accounts which includes developing and maintaining the relationship,and servicing the account either personally or through an assigned point ofsale

  • Maintaina thorough agronomic and technical knowledge of Pioneer products and servicesand trouble shoots some customer complaints and work to resolve them.Continually teach representatives and dealers new and better ways to meet theneeds of the customer. Coach sales team to enhance selling activity,differentiate products and services and build relationships. Continuallyevaluate performance of individuals against standards and provide feedback thatwill enhance their sales performance. Provide necessary skills and knowledgetraining to meet sales performance objectives.

  • Recruit,select and retain a high quality professional sales force that can meet theneeds of customers. Manage assigned account responsibility at the salesrepresentative level, focusing customer by customer. Set sales targets andtactical plans with each sales rep for assigned customers and prospects. Workwith Area Sales Manager on customer and prospect management and territorymanagement.

  • Understandcustomer needs and provide feedback to organization on product performance,program effectiveness and competitive activity. Suggest improvements oralternative tactics to help achieve district and area goals. Continue todevelop professionally by remaining current with new technologies, managementinnovations and sales management developments.

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Business, or Marketing required,will consider other degrees with related field sales experience.

  • 5 years sales experience, managing and coaching individuals.

  • Build/maintain strong relationships with customersDemonstrated skills in Selling, negotiating, influencing, conflict resolution,handling objections and coaching.

  • Using computer hardware software/intranet to generate reports,territory plans, inventory data, access

  • Work effectively within a team environment

  • Lead and influence teams/projects and coach individuals inaccomplishing defined objectives/goals

  • Get results by taking initiative, overcoming obstacles &finding creative solutions

  • Work independently with minimum supervision and operate withinbudget

  • Work in and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment
