Scientist I/II (Job Number: 192032W-01)
Carries outindependent as well as supervisory research.
Investigates orcoordinates an investigation of a section or aspect of a project.
Requireshands-on experience on molecular biology.
Performlaboratory experiments in research areas related to industrial enzymes,including but not limited to the following aspects: gene mining, cloning,recombinant protein expression, library construction and screening.
Will involveusage of the latest techniques in bioinformatics, genetics and molecularbiology.
Assume projectleader responsibilities when appointed
Ph.D. degree andexperience in biological sciences with at least 3 years of practical labexperience in an academic, pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.
The successfulcandidate should have excellent molecular biology skills and workingknowledge of bacterial/fungal physiology.
The successfulcandidate should have strong capability to use available bioinformaticstools for gene and sequencing data analysis.
Excellentcommunication skills and the desire to work within a multidisciplinaryteam are required.
The successfulcandidate must be highly motivated, creative, have strong problem solvingand critical thinking skills, and be capable of working independently orin a collaborative setting.
Stronganalytical and organizational skills are highly desirable.
Fluency inspoken and written English is required.
