Description

  • Carries outindependent as well as supervisory research.

  • Investigates orcoordinates an investigation of a section or aspect of a project.

  • Requireshands-on experience on molecular biology.

  • Performlaboratory experiments in research areas related to industrial enzymes,including but not limited to the following aspects: gene mining, cloning,recombinant protein expression, library construction and screening.

  • Will involveusage of the latest techniques in bioinformatics, genetics and molecularbiology.

  • Assume projectleader responsibilities when appointed

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree andexperience in biological sciences with at least 3 years of practical labexperience in an academic, pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.

  • The successfulcandidate should have excellent molecular biology skills and workingknowledge of bacterial/fungal physiology.

  • The successfulcandidate should have strong capability to use available bioinformaticstools for gene and sequencing data analysis.

  • Excellentcommunication skills and the desire to work within a multidisciplinaryteam are required.

  • The successfulcandidate must be highly motivated, creative, have strong problem solvingand critical thinking skills, and be capable of working independently orin a collaborative setting.

  • Stronganalytical and organizational skills are highly desirable.

  • Fluency inspoken and written English is required.
