Summary:

Successful candidate will be part of the maintenance team providing electrical and instrument maintenance services to the Plant and its facilities and Contracts Administration, working within DuPont’s best practices to meet Plant’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain Plant equipment and facilities.

  • Coordinate and Supervise/audit contract maintenance work for Safety & Quality.

  • Follow-up on vendor /contractor recommendations and follow-up works after equipment service by vendor/contractors.

  • Preform equipment prestart-up electrical checks and develop, improve QPM electrical checks for equipment.

  • Maintain electrical spares Inventory and maintain the calibration records for all electrical instruments.

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Plant LTCT system, (Lock-out - Tag-out) and work permit system. Apply LTCT and work permits during maintenance, contractor and vendor works.

  • Able to troubleshoot and replace electrical components in LT electrical distribution panels, control panels and LT switch boards.

  • Assist operation works and Maintenance works when necessary.

  • Assist the buyers and end-users in bid package preparation including site preparation and conducting bidders meeting.

  • Audit contractor time sheets regularly to compare with gate (time sheet) logs.

  • Establish and maintain up-to-date performance files for all contractors and service reports of vendors.

  • Conduct site safety orientation for all site contractors to ensure compliance with MOM and DuPont requirements including review, getting approval of Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

  • Verify employment status of all site contractors to ensure legal compliance before providing SIC cards for contractors.

  • Conduct regular field safety, health and environmental audits to monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with regulatory and DuPont safety requirements

  • Conduct/coordinate specialized training for contractors e.g. rigging, LTT, vessel entry, hot work etc.

  • Play major role during annual shutdown period focusing on Contractor Safety Management. Help identify and resolve daily operational problems.

  • Represent DuPont in the execution of contracts involving the use of labour and service.

  • Provide final follow-up to assure that the contractor follows conditions of the contracts.

  • Renew contracts timely and implement new contractors based on DuPont Contractor Safety Management Methodology involving Six Step Process

  • Act as liaison between the contractor and DuPont in coordinating contract activities.

  • Make sure that the yearly contracts are renewed timely and no service had been interrupted due to renewal process.

  • Verifying receipt of services including working with accounts payable to resolve invoice issues.

  • Assisting with injury management and incident investigations.

  • Manages the interface between the contractors, legal, sourcing, SHE, accounts payable, tax, the project process and any other party.

  • Maintains metrics for contract man hours, specific contracts and/or projects.

Qualifications

  • ITE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience and demonstrated capability in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the plant machinery equipment.

  • Proficient in MS Office, e.g. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
