The TAR (TurnARound) manager takes direction from the Turnaround Steering Team regarding turnaround objectives and leads the Core Team in the accomplishment of this goals. He/she is accountable for turnaround planning and execution and shall identify issues, and develop solutions and/or recommendations. The TAR manager will be the lead in problem solving with the Core Team for any deviations of the objectives and bring solutions and/or corrective actions to the Steering Team for alignment and course correction.

The TAR manager will keep TAR core team members organized and focused on the project and goals at hand. He/she trains, sets goals and aligns the team’s work with demands from higher management, clients, contractors and other stakeholders.

The combined TAR manager / Contract manager role reports directly to the site manager and is a full-time position and responsibilities include:

· Develop and maintain alignment of business objectives, site requirements and TAR process

· Develop TAR objectives and gain alignment with Steering Committee and Core team to ensure that they meet the business objectives

· Maintain alignment with business on TAR objectives to manage risk and execute to the plan

· Monitor TAR Front End Loading (FEL) all phases work/progress vs. Best Practice timing milestones and requirements (expectations)

· Utilize TAR FEL Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress

· Planning – validate and monitor progress of planning resources

· Report progress back to the Steering Committee and Core Team and act if necessary

· Utilize process to track and report TAR execution results on: SHE, Cost, Schedule and Scope completion

· Reviews the turnaround critique meeting notes to ensure solo activity

· Interfaces with TAR Steering Team providing updates on TAR Preparation activities, communicating risks to meeting TAR objectives, facilitating decisions on how to mitigate those risks

· Lead and Coordinate TAR Core Team to define a fully integrated, logic driven, resource loaded, reviewed and approved TAR execution schedule that includes all production, maintenance, and capital activities in the TAR window for all DuPont and contractor personnel

· Interface with the safety specialist to understand and cover all safety elements during preparation and execution of the TAR

· Interface with Maintenance organization to understand Scope of work

· Interface with Capital organization to understand Scope of work

· Interface with Production organization to understand Scope of work and production outage window

· Interface with finance organization to ensure proper setup of Planned Major Maintenance Accounting (PMMA) cost tracking system

· Alignment of TAR contractor strategy (Contracting plan) in line with site contracting strategy

· Review of and challenge contractor bids, advising in discussions with contractor to determine correct strategy (unit rates, T&M, lump sum, etc)

· Lead TAR Schedule building effort

· Owns/facilities the approval process for any deviations from the approved schedule

· Leads, prepares and organizes a turnaround critique meeting to focus on continuous improvement

· Ensures completion of any post TAR mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation activities

· Track work order closure for Planned Major Maintenance Accounting (PMMA) and facility problem solving

· Working closely together with the Site contract administrator and Buyer group on development of the TAR sourcing and general contracting strategy

· Managing correct follow up of all contracted work in relation to the Six step process, together with the contract administration team

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelors Degree

· 5 years experience in TAR management and / or maintenance with understanding of operations, contracting and financial controls

· Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks, setting and communicating priorities

· Effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to present information to all levels in the organization

· Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective plans

· A lean and continuous improvement mindset

· Dutch and English proficiency
