On December 11, 2015, E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company (“DuPont”) and The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”) announced that their boards of directors unanimously approved a definitive agreement under which the companies would combine in an all-stock merger of equals with the combined company to be named DowDuPont™. On September 1, 2017, DowDuPont announced the successful completion of the merger effective August 31, 2017. Shares of DuPont and Dow ceased trading at the close of the New York Stock Exchange, and DowDuPont started trading under the ticker symbol “DWDP.” The combined entity is operating as a holding company with three leading, global divisions – Agriculture, Materials Science and Specialty Products.
The “DowDuPont Agriculture Company” (“AgCo”) will be the leading global pure-play agriculture company that unites DuPont’s and Dow’s seed and crop protection businesses. The combined entity will have the most comprehensive and diverse portfolio and robust pipeline with exceptional growth opportunities in the near-, mid- and long-term. The complementary offerings of the two legacy companies will combine to provide growers across geographies with a broad portfolio of solutions and greater choice. Combined pro forma revenue for the DowDuPont Agriculture business is approximately $14 billion with approximately 25,000 employees worldwide.
The Role & RESPONSIBILITIES
Occupational Health Programs Are Provided by The Global Integrated Health Services (IHS) Organization. IHS Services Include Occupational Health (Pre-Placement Exams, Health Surveillance, And Fitness for Duty), Absence Management, International Business Travel Preparation & Support, Wellness and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Reporting to The Global Medical Director, This Is an Important Role to Support Business Development in These Growing Markets Which Include Areas with Endemic Disease and Developing Health Infrastructure.
Key Tasks for The Asia Pacific Region (AP):
§ Management and oversight of internal IHS staff and outsourced occupational health provision
§ Vendor management: Sourcing vendors, manage vendor relationships, goal setting, guidance on standards and guideline and health programs
§ Implementation, oversight and management of Health Services Delivery
§ Ensure agreed objectives and KPIs are met
As part of the Global Health Team make recommendations on how to improve service delivery, streamline service, update policies, processes and procedures, be the global lead on defined specialist topics.
Supported by occupational health nurses, this new role will also provide occupational health support to employees in the Hyderabad Office and nearby locations, providing the full range of IHS services, health surveillance, sickness absence and wellbeing programs.

Year one critical success factors
The new Regional Medical Director APAC at DowDuPont Agriculture will have the following imperative goals and objectives for success in the first twelve months in the role:
§ Build a strong Health team with the right leadership and occupational health skills to deliver on the strategy; continue the development of the team as a support system for employees to ensure health standards are met and adhered to.
§ Build a strong health mindset across the company for all functions and locations.
§ Provide advice and consultation to senior management and the organization in the development, implementation and administration of Health, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures and the Health infrastructure.
§ Develop, gain approval for and sell the vision for Health programs and plans; manage risk through shared vision with business leaders.
§ 5 years of working experience in occupational health from the total work experience
§ Previous work in a multinational company business environment, experience in managing occupational medical services in multiple countries
§ Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential and multilingual capabilities would be an advantage
§ Registered Medical Practitioner, Licensed to Work in India And Possess or Be Able to Gain Medical License to Work in The Hyderabad State/Region
§ Post Graduate Qualification in Occupational Medicine
