Research Associate (Job Number: 194131W-01)


ResearchAssociate (RA):

The successful candidate will be part of the Global Production Genotyping (GPG-SIBS) lab India that delivers molecular marker genotypic data in an Industrial scale high throughput fashion, which relies heavily on liquid handling automation, LIMS and system integration. The candidate will need to work with lab lead and other team members to complete daily assigned tasks which include but now limited to,

  • Plant sample preparation, DNAextraction and genotyping assays using liquid handling instruments.

  • Genotypic data analysis anddata reporting.

  • Maintain proper records for labprocess, instruments performance, shipping and receiving, noting downissues and communicate effectively with team members and the lab manager.

  • Inspects and performs routinemaintenance on equipment used to conduct experiments at the designatedwork location.


EducationalQualification and Experience:

M.Sc degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or related fields plus 1-5 years of direct industrial experiences and skills, or equivalent amounts of relevant education and industrial experience.


  • Experience in basic molecularbiology and analytical instrumentation.

  • Attention to details andability to troubleshoot high throughput lab processes.

  • Self-motivated and be able towork independently and as a team with good interpersonal skills.

  • Must have good verbal andwritten communication skills in English.
