Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Field map preparation; seedfield management activities such as parent seed planning, scouting, fieldmaintenance, roguing, IPM, etc.

  • Maintain a positive workingrelationship with growers, roguing crews, and seed field inspectors whichmay include scheduling when to enter fields

  • Harvest activities such aspreparation, final field inspections, bin sampling, bin classification,etc. Will assist in the supervision of theentire process (such as IPM, field inspections, sampling, harvest, etc.),which would include supervision of staff, scheduling of work, productflow, problem solving, etc.

  • Handle a high volume of complexactivities.

  • Compliance with IOMS documents and Quality Plan required

  • Compliance andsupport of all safety initiatives and programs is required

  • Maintain/report GrowerPesticide Application Records

  • Maintain/administer Growerwebsite

  • Meet demands intimely fashion while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

  • Grower payments andcompensation verification

  • Field vehicle laison / contact

  • Weekly field progress updatesas assigned

  • Grower/customer meetingpreparation

  • Maintain and report GrowerPesticide application records

  • Maintain/monitor Grower Website

  • Assist in off-site binprocurement, inspection, and contracting

  • Administrative duties asassigned

Qualifications

The following are required:

  • High School diploma orequivalent

  • Three to five (3-5) yearson-the-job or related agricultural experience

  • May require a CommercialDriver’s License

  • Willing and able to lift up to50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/orrepetitive lifting with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Willingness and ability to workovertime hours or shift work including weekend work required during seasonalpeaks

  • Strong computerskills

The following are preferred:

  • Associates degree or higherrelated to agriculture

  • Previous training on fieldinspection

  • Certified Pesticide Applicatorlicense

  • Supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of productionagriculture and production plant operations

  • Knowledge of field equipmentand techniques (irrigation, scouting, combine settings, etc.)

  • Ability to provide necessary training and supervise/coach others

  • Digital Agriculture experience

  • Agronomic knowledge and/orexperience
