COUNTRY IT INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT (Job Number: 195228W-01)
The position of the On-Site Engineer Japan is IT Infrastructure Technician role who takes responsibility for Hands-On technical work with end-to-end Service Delivery Technical person to ensure effective, integrated IT service for DuPont and Joint Ventures based on SLA. This position is responsible for managing the delivery of day-to-day operational support and minor enhancements working with service provider resources. The site-specific services include integrated applications, hosting, end-user computing, network and security services. This position takes care of end-user communication as Site IT focal point.
Supporting critical hands-on delivery of services locally with the assistance of service providers and managing requests for minor enhancements. The individual who fills this role is responsible for managing outcomes and results, improving the overall delivery of IT services, and for enhancing our clients' use of enabling technologies. The responsibilities for this position include:
Support integrated ITservices for their assigned sites, working with service providers’resources
For each criticalsystem at a site, understand the business requirements and manage thedelivery of services to meet expectations
Work with End-to-EndService Delivery staff to develop strong collaborative IT, supplier andbusiness working relationships to ensure effective IT services
Support site incidentmanagement, communication to IT and business leadership, status reviews,root cause analysis activities and follow-up actions.
Work with Supplier andService Management to ensure that IT service providers are performing tocontractual deliverables at the sites.
Assist End-to-EndService Delivery person in managing IT Services, Demand including requestinitiation, requirements, approval, prioritization, scheduling andexecution
Prioritize IT serviceswork within the assigned sites and keep a working log of top issues andstatus
Ensure effective ITchange management execution, following the ITIL framework and DuPontstandards and processes, including coordination of local maintenancewindows and IT Solution Delivery scheduling considerations
Understand the localand regional legal requirements and, on behalf of the client, assist End-to-EndService Delivery Staff for the execution of queries, audit, and otherformal governance processes
Provide local supportfor Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, coordination andtesting activities, as requested
Work with serviceproviders for effective problem management activities
Support other IT teamswith local insights into service delivery performance, recommendations forimprovements and execution of agreed actions
Analyze the metricsprovided by the suppliers for service delivery effectiveness, as requiredby the underlying contract and Client Satisfaction Surveys, and asotherwise appropriate; recommend improvement actions
Develop and deploylocal IT service improvements according to global best practices
Actively participate inthe IT Challenge process
Align relevant ITservices with the needs of the business and work to continuously improvethe quality and cost of services delivered
University degree in ITrelated fields with minimum 5 years working experience
Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure,and interrelationships for applications, global hosting, end usercomputing, and networking
Experience supportingnetwork issues, storage, hosting (Windows preferred), and end usercomputing (Windows)
Proven ability toprioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and makesound decisions in emergency situations
Able to present ideasin user-friendly language
Good written and oralEnglish communication skills
Highly self-motivatedand directed with attention to detail
Strong customer serviceorientation
