Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work in PSM (Process Safety Management) rated and non-PSM facilities and strictly adhere to safety principles and policies as a condition of employment.

  • Understand and be accountable to meet business goals, and support continuous improvementactivities.

  • Complete training and assignments on time to become an effective team member and independent contributor to the organization.

  • Acquire a powered equipment (such as a forktruck) license if needed.

  • Identifies problems in control systems then implements the proper action to restore the system to standard operating conditions.

  • Installs, troubleshoots, tunes, calibrates and repairs electronics equipment and system processes.

  • Services and uses the appropriate test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, calibration devices, volt-ohm meters, multimeters, and power supplies.

  • Services and maintains process control and measurement systems.

  • Test, troubleshoot and Service AC/DC electrical drives and components connected to the temperature, tension, airflow, pressures, infrared, weight, speed, humidity to maintain the process within the specification to assure reliable performance.

  • Services programmable controllers and distributed Control Systems.

  • Troubleshoots pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.

  • Read and understand manuals, National Electric code, schematics, and P&ID’s.

  • Maintain and improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Adherence to standard operating procedures.

  • Participate in Site Emergency Response Team.


The following are required:

  • High School diploma / GED.

  • Possess a degree or Certificate from an accredited college or technical school in the Electrical/Controls field or have demonstrated equivalent abilities in this skill.

  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

  • Ability to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and short notice call in as required.

  • Ability to: lift 10 lbs. frequently, 25 lbs. regularly, 55 lbs. occasionally; climb stairs, ladders, and columns; stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, utilize visual acuity, reach overhead, hear and respond to alarms

  • Must have ability to learn new computer software systems and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toed shoes, hardhat, Nomex® clothing, protective eyewear, face shields, arc protective clothing, respirator, and SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus)

  • Ability to rotate assignments.

  • Strong communication skills and be a team player

The following are preferred:

  • 2+ years of industrial experience in electronic/controls repair (may include related military experience).

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology

  • Experience with SAP
