Meridium Support Engineer – TM/IM

Job Description:

The Specialty Products Division Meridium Support Engineer – Thickness Monitoring/Inspection Manager supports sites globally in the use of Meridium to manage equipment reliability. This role will be leveraged across the Division to support the use of Meridium in particular as it relates to mechanical integrity and quality assurance (MIQA) and is aligned with the corporate Process Safety Management (PSM) and Reliability and Maintenance (R&M) objectives and standard practices.

Job Scope:

Assist sites by:

  • Implement all Meridiummodules following defined standard practices – help sites to standardize theirwork practices using Meridium. Teachsite how to use Meridium as a key element of an overall reliability improvementprocess. Current modules include:

  • Reliability analysis

  • Calibration manager

  • Thickness measurement

  • Inspection and test management

  • Operator rounds

  • Proact

  • Teach sites how to manage their Meridium system

  • Develop and document standard methodologies for usingMeridium

  • Helpsites develop and track maintenance, reliability, and MIQA performance andmanagement metrics

  • Trainoperators and mechanics on their role in using Meridium in reliability andMIQA improvement. Stay engaged withRCP$ processes to engage and develop shop floor capability.



This individual must have a good working knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and MIQA best practices. This person must have the organizational capability to work in multiple sites, supply chains, and systems and be able to communicate well/influence with operators, control mechanics, peers, and leadership. They must be able to lead multiple improvement teams at multiple sites and network with appropirate networks such as MIQANET and maintain a strong connect to technical organizations such as the Rotating Machinery, E&I, Process Equipment, and R&M/MIQA CoE groups.

  • BS in mechanicalengineering (preferred) or related engineering field.

  • 5 years or more of work experience in the design, repairs,maintenance, reliability, failure modes, and/or inspection of chemicalprocess equipment.

  • 1 year experience using Meridium in process industry

  • Thoroughunderstanding of maintenance, reliability, MIQA, and PSM best practices.

  • Must be self-motivated and able towork independently with minimal supervision.

  • Team leadershipskills.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Interpersonal,people development and training skills

  • Abilityto work as a team member in a respectful manner in a diverse workenvironment

  • Facilitiesengineering processes, principles, and maintenance & reliabiliityfunctional excellence capability.

  • Reliability tools such as RCFA,FMEA, Weibull analysis, statistical analysis, etc.

  • Softwaresystems such as SAP PM, Meridium, UPbase/TrakSyS, Microsoft Office tools.

Additional Job Information:

  • Substantialtravel involved, usually 2 to 3 days at a time and sometimes on shortnotice. Travel may be global (50% or higher)

  • Positionmay be located in Wilmington, DE; Houston, TX; or other North Americalocations with access to air travel.
