Maintenance Technician- $1,000 Sign On Bonus (Job Number: 194943W-01)


Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our company at our Wahpeton, ND production facility.

This role is offering a competitive hourly rate between $21-$26/hour (depending on a candidate's background/experience) and a $1,000 sign on bonus!

As the Maintenance Technician, you will regularly perform mechanical maintenance of field and plant equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support Plant and FieldOperations

  • Deliver maintenance support forprojects

  • Provide oversight of the plantshop, and maintenance tools

  • Support the DuPont ProductionSystem, Process Safety Management and the location safety effort

  • Conduct seasonal prep workincluding preparing equipment and scheduling materials

  • Assure proper set-up,calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment,machines, and facilities

  • Complete ground maintenance asneeded


The following arerequired:

  • Two or more years of relatedmaintenance work experience OR an Associate's or Bachelor's degree inWelding, Mechanics, or related field

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Fabrication and welding skillsand experience

  • Willing and able to work in avariety of areas (field, plant, warehouse)

  • Willing and able to climband/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periods

  • Willing and able to work bothoutdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions

  • Willing and able to lift up to50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/orrepetitive lifting

  • Position has potential exposureto hazards such as electric shock or moving parts

  • Willingness and ability to workovertime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks

  • Valid driver’s license andreliable transportation

  • Problem solving skills,conflict resolution skills, and teamwork skills

  • Excellent verbal, written,and interpersonal communication skills

  • Beginning level computer skills

The following arepreferred:

  • Knowledge of productionagriculture and associated machinery

  • Basic level of buildingelectrical systems knowledge

  • Knowledge of heating/cooling,refrigeration, security, materials handling equipment (i.e., conveyors,elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.) or other mechanical/electricalsystems

  • Able to adjust quickly tochanging conditions and multiple priorities

  • Detail oriented

  • Problem solving skills

  • Millwright skills

  • Truck and forklift drivingskills

  • Knowledge of engine andhydraulic repair and test equipment

  • Certified Pesticide Applicator,Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be desired.
