Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ is recruiting for a Safety and Health Coordinator who will facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines at our Hawaii research locations. In this role, you will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. You will play an important role during the new employee on boarding process. You'll also utilize your training expertise to provide the necessary training to all new employees in order to familiarize them with site safety protocols and procedures. In addition, you'll keep safety and health related documentation as well as prepare safety statistical reports to all employees.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare reports of occurrences and define statistical trends to present to upper management

  • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims as well as to be the main point of contact for site safety incidents.

  • Oversee the installation maintenance and disposal of substances at the Hawaii research Facilities.

  • Support managers with site safety hazards evaluation on the day to day basis and site constructions.

  • Foster a prevention environment by the study and analysis of observations and actions as well as dissemination of leading and lagging indicators trends for predictability.

  • Support safety program owners by helping them with inspections, evaluations, corrective actions and the necessary documentation to comply.

  • To provide the necessary training to all employees and visitors as well as to keep records of trainings.

  • Administrate the safety database as well as all documentation generated during safety investigations, safety meetings, safety observations and safety analysis for prevention.

  • Support first party audits and actions as well as to keep record of improvements.

  • Generate reports and evaluations during constructions, deployment of new equipment or implementation of new procedures at the Hawaii research sites.



  • BS in a safety related field of study plus three or more years of experience as a safety coordinator/related role

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. experience

  • Experience interacting with employees in a multicultural environment

  • Current driver's license

  • Ability to lift 20-40 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to manage and organize information to prioritize multiple and varied tasks

  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills

  • Certifications in hazardous materials disposal

  • Education in OSHA requirements, regulations, etc.
