Process Control Technician (Job Number: 193181W-01)
DuPont currently has an opening for a Process Control Technician in our Washington Works Plant located in Washington, WV. The Process Control Technician provides E&I daily assistance to operations and maintenance to improve uptime, yield, operating utility and fixed costs. This individual will lead small capital projects to implement equipment and technology upgrades as well as focusing efforts in developing, leading and implementing instrumentation improvements. Technical support for capital projects will be required.
Potential candidates must have:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 4 years related industry experience will be considered.
Knowledge/experience with process control fundamentals (PID, ratios’, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot area electrical and instrument systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of E&I drawings including electrical schematics, logic diagrams and P&I diagrams.
Demonstrated knowledge of Process Safety Management and environmental practices.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and handle multiple jobs simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to access network with appropriate engineering resources.
Demonstrated knowledge/experience of working with High Voltage Systems.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair in-house developed electronics.
Demonstrated ability to repair and install process computers.
Demonstrated knowledge/experience with AC and DC drives.
Demonstrated knowledge/experience with programming and troubleshooting stepper and servo motors and drives.
Demonstrated knowledge/experience with 2 and 3 axis robotic equipment.
Demonstrated ability to program PLCs.
Experience with variable frequency drives, Modicon/Allen Bradley PLCs, Unity Pro drive software and networking is preferred.
Electrical and Instrument maintenance experience in the Filaments operation is preferred.
