The Electronics and Imaging Continuous Improvement Resource role is a leveraged role that resides in a leveraged Continuous Improvement team. The CI team is accountable for defining and leading implementation of commercial and integrated operations work process standards. The team is also the primary source of program/project leadership. In that scope, this role supports end to end process excellence through development and application of standard methods, tools, metrics, and training for Commercial and Integrated Operations functions (Customer Service, Demand, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Order Fulfillment). Lean/Six sigma methodologies are utilized to drive excellence through program and project leadership.

In addition, the E&I business has committed to implement improved manufacturing measurement of key performance measures. To accomplish this a Traksys® system implementation is underway across all E&I manufacturing sites. This role will be trained in this methodology and lead several of these site projects. This will require up to 25% travel.

This vacancy is specifically focused on Mfg Operations and Supply processes and improvement. Therefore, significant experience in Lean Mfg and Kaizen leadership is strongly preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead improvement projects to realization and financial validation through application of Lean and Six Sigma methodology

  • Projects focus on standard process implementation, defect reduction or waste elimination to achieve functional and system improvement, organization development, cost reduction, work process, and quality improvement.

  • Manage and lead improvement teams across multiple operating units and /or multiple functions

  • Identify business improvement opportunities by analyzing data, gathering voice of customer information and define the problem as an executable six sigma improvement project...

  • Apply lean tools including value stream mapping, DILO, visual management, kaizen, brainstorming to identify waste and organize Kaizen improvement teams.

  • Draft charters for improvement projects with clearly defined benefits, scope, resource requirements and project plan with milestones and timeline.

  • Deliver high level supply chain maps from suppliers to compounding plants to customers

  • Integrates issue solutions into an overall process vision for an optimal system.

Related Responsibilities:

  • Provides subject matter expert (SME) guidance in support of best practices and Lean/Six Sigma project activities in pursuit of end to end supply chain and commercial improvement.

  • Create and sell value proposition for standardization and improvement

  • Support the building of an efficient commercial, Supply Chain, and mfg work flow and systems

  • Consulting skills: Hypothesis development, Data Collection and Analysis, Designing Models and Analytical Tools, interpreting results, Facilitation Training, Synthesis Message development and communication, Establishing & Managing relationships, Coaching

  • Identify, develop standard methodology, and help business to implement external and internal supply chain best practices.

  • Develop capability, buy-in and support for lean continuous culture in the organization.

  • Promote discipline using data for decisions and application of Six Sigma methodologies to implement change throughout the organization.

  • Assist in gap analysis and evaluations of the capability across Integrated Operations regarding people, processes and tools.

  • Mentor and coach improvement teams, Kaizen teams and Green Belts/other CI Resources.

Qualifications

To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business

  • 3 years’ minimum applicable experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Commercial role

  • Project/program management experience, with demonstrated proficiency in delivering quality results on-time and in-full

  • Lean Practitioner Trained and capable

  • SAP / Business Warehouse (BW)

  • ERP competency

  • Able to demonstrate significant depth in one or more of the following: Continuous Improvement/Program Leadership, Lean/Kaizen application in manufacturing and transactional projects, SAP/BW, Demand/Supply Planning & Scheduling

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (prior to role)

  • APICS CPIM
