DuPont Electronics and Communications is seeking a Material Planner for the Circuits business supporting the Towanda, PA manufacturing facility. It will support primarily the Printed Circuit Material (PCM) and High Performance Laminates (HPL) product lines. In this role the successful candidate will be accountable for the formal planning and execution of all tactical level processes required to secure and manage raw materials, packaging materials, and semi-finished materials, based on a forward looking production plan. This includes scheduling and managing delivery, storage, staging, and movement of materials. The material planner is responsible to create and maintain valid plans for the acquisition of parts and materials. “Valid plans” are time sequenced for materials required by the supply plan and resources are available to supply the materials at the right time, quality and quantity. This position can either be in Towanda, PA and Wilmington, DE.

What we ask from you?

  • Use MRP to project raw material demand with vendors and establish maximum inventories and reorder points to optimize service level and inventory investment.

  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials to meet production schedules.

  • Create, validate and maintain a valid materials plan based upon the Master Plan and Master Production Schedule.

  • Ensure the right materials are procured at the right time, quality and quantity to minimize production and storage costs, based on the material plan.

  • Develop and provide expected demand for ingredients and packaging materials to suppliers on regular basis. Obtain supply capability confirmation.

  • Schedule and manage the execution of material deliveries against existing contracts or purchase orders.

  • Assess and respond to expected raw material storage and distribution capacity requirements based upon supplier lead times.

  • Lead resolution of short-term supply/demand imbalances for ingredients and packaging materials.

  • Identify and initiate response to raw material service/quality complaints from manufacturing. Initiate return material process involving QA and Sourcing.

  • Participate in and provide data for evaluation of supplier service performance and work with sourcing and suppliers to improve performance.

  • Execute the plans for non-productive raw materials for disposition. Manage health of raw materials, semi-finished and packaging materials.

  • Communicate with intermediates asset scheduler, raw material quality personnel, manufacturing, plant technical, purchasing, and master scheduling personnel regarding supply problems and their resolutions.

  • Lead the continuous improvement of the material planning process

  • Maintain accurate raw material and supplier master data including planning parameters such as order quantities or lot sizes, lead times and safety stocks.

Qualifications

What we need from you?

  • Bachelor’s in material management, supply chain, engineering, or business

  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain or related field

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

  • Passing score on APICS Module I (Basics of Supply Chain Management)

  • Passing score on APICS Module II (Master Planning of Resources)

  • Familiar and competent in the use of SAP/APO

  • Demonstrated strength in planning and organizational skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
