Engineering Technology Supervisor (Job Number: 192991W-01)
Leads the delivery of one or more engineering technologies to support all of DuPont Safety & Construction. Scope includes engineering technology for asset productivity programs, new facility projects, and some conceptual development. Works closely with plant site technology teams to understand the technology direction and the critical programs in support of the business goals and prioritize programs across all the Safety & Construction businesses for the largest business impact. Aids in determining competencies needed, plans and staffs internal and external resources to meet demand. Over time, adjusts staffing levels as necessary to address business needs including hiring and attrition. Accountable for managing costs to meet PO budgetary guidance. Directly supervises technical staff of 10-15 engineers. Responsible for personnel development (e.g. career development, technical competency, people skills, etc.) as well as succession planning for critical functional competencies. When needed recruit top talent to build the strength of the organization.
Minimum Job Requirements:
BS, MS or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
Minimum 7 years working experience in engineering technology consultant, manufacturing technical, process development and/or operations role.
Have good analytical skills and be able to quickly identify, define and resolve problems
Ability to make tough choices in a constrained environment and communicate effectively the basis and implications of those choices to the business.
Ability to flexibly manage in the face of uncertainty in a dynamic business environment.
Ability to lead by influence while running a diverse workforce and changing work load.
Strong social and communications (verbal and written) skills, with ability to work well with range of personnel including wage role operator & maintenance technicians, plant engineers, Technical Fellows, S&C management, and external customers
Strong customer focus
Ability to lead initiatives to accelerate contribution to growth through manufacturing asset improvements.
Ability to develop people through fast-growing roles and responsibilities.
