As a member of the Global Safety and Construction IT&P Business Facing Team, the role is responsible for establishing the S&C operations and supply chain IT strategy, implementing new applications in manufacturing, advancing new digital capabilities to improve manufacturing and supply chain effectiveness, protect process intellectual property and trade secrets, and driving new process monitoring and control technologies collaboratively with operations and plant technical teams. Translates operations and business requirements into technical IT solutions and executes the plan to deliver the information and tools required to support the operations and supply chain strategies.

Drives and manages the portfolio of operations and supply chain IT projects. Works with the operations and supply chain teams and manage the alliance partners to create and maintain effective processes to: prioritize and track applications, run and maintain and new initiatives, ensure appropriate staffing levels, ensure accuracy of receipt of services, maintain a leading edge security capability, and ensure global alignment. Current initiatives include:

  • Tyvek® process data analysis

  • Handheld devices or maintenance and operations staff

  • Evaluate and recommend next generation maintenance reports and practices

  • Engage with engineering and manufacturing to define a roadmap for shop floor and process control systems

Active participation and engagement with leadership and teams from R&D, Legal/IP, ENGG, and Operations.

Engage the DuPont IT&P organization to develop and leverage solutions and resources in support of the business:

  • Network with other Global IT Leaders to identify common needs/goals and synergy opportunities

  • Provide IT linkage between supply chain, R&D, maintenance, and manufacturing

  • Provide IT guidance to S&C manufacturing locations to ensure applications and infrastructure needs and plans are aligned

Ensure solutions are consistent with IT architecture standards and guidance

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to:

  • think strategically, translate strategic concepts to an executable plan, and design and implement the plan in support of that strategy.

  • to communicate complex technical ideas (IT, process, or science).

  • to manage complex relationships between business staff and IT suppliers, both internal and external, to find resolutions that benefit the research organization and are aligned with affordability.

  • understand impact of technology on operations practices and operator / maintenance staff skill requirements

  • network effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • multi-task and set appropriate priorities.

  • Demonstrated experience with computing solutions in a manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, or similar technical field

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects with discipline and active stakeholder engagement

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel – up to 50% as projects and go-lives demand

  • 5-8 years of experience in IT (shop floor, process control, SAP) environment

  • Advanced degree in physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics is a plus

  • Security experience and certification as well as project management certification or equivalent experience are also plusses
