IT Asset Analyst (Job Number: 194152W-01)
Responsible for Software Asset Management (SAM) licensing compliance and optimization. Analyzes software license purchases, contracts, and software usage data to ensure effective software life cycle management, in accordance with IT policies, processes and procedures. Performs reconciliation and remediation tasks to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Maintains software licenses, entitlement details in the SAM tool, ensuring accurate reconciliation of licenses against installed inventory. Understand and report future demand for software needs and ensure purchases meet business requirements. Lead external audits with vendors.
Knowledge of software vendor licensing product use rights and terms
Working knowledge with software license management tools
Ability to monitor contractual agreements & coordinate vendor management processes working with Vendor, Sourcing buyers, and various IT resources.
Maintain data and manage requests in/from vendor portals (i.e. SAP Marketplace, VMWare, RedHat, etc.).
Utilize SAM tool (Flexera) to monitor and analyze and interpret data
Ability to load Infrastructure entitlements into Flexera
Trouble shoot and resolve infrastructure software license and/or usage issues
Ability to manage software portfolio and demand forecast
Ability to understand software agreements with vendors
Understanding of IT procurement processes & procedures.
Knowledge of Sourcing (BRRP) and receipt of service/invoice policies & processes
Ability to create and report on software metrics
Ability to analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions on software data
Understanding of Information Technologies concepts and terminology
Strong teamwork/collaboration with Sourcing, IT technical resources and vendor management team members on a regular basis.
Strong Microsoft skills particularly excel and associated analytics
Information Technology degree or equivalent experience preferred
