DuPont Safety & Construction (S&C) is seeking a highly motivated individual who will be supporting the development of commercial applications for DuPont™ Kevlar ® and Nomex® in the field of mechanical protection, apparel protection and composite structures.
The Primary responsibility of this role is to provide Technical support and innovation on new product/process developments to meet customer needs in Protective Apparel solutions primarily working on well-known products like Kevlar® and Nomex®. Development will range from research scale prototyping of new materials to fast large-scale product improvements.
Perform under minimum supervision complex technical operations and/or tests to provide prototype samples and/or data,
Solve technical problems and support development programs.
Coordinate and execute work requests and independently write reports.
Comply with safety guidelines, business ethics and internal control processes
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Effective time management skills with multiple projects
Demonstrated capability as a ‘hands-on’ experimentalist
Strong oral and written communication skills

BS/MS Degree in mechanical engineering or materials science with experience on spinning and/or weaving of short and long staple fibers, or equivalent technical textile education including composites with minimum two years of practical experience will be a plus.
Ability to work independently.
Good analytical, problem solving skills.
Ability to rapidly establish strong relationships with value chain partners and end use customers.
Ability to communicate with customers and all levels of the organization, both verbal and written.
Fluent in written and spoken English
