The Asset Scheduler will be accountable for day-to-day activities required to create and maintain detailed production/supply schedules based on the master scheduling input or established pull signals. This role will serve as the point person between the supply organization and plant to clearly define / understand short term production issues and supply needs between the organizations. Utilizes detailed capacity plans, and interfaces with Unit Manager and supervisors and/or production teams.

What do we expect from you?

  • Issue detailedschedule for each asset based on a final time-phased production plan.

  • Manage dailyproduction schedules during planning horizon.

  • Manage productiondetails in line with business strategy (cost, rate, inventory and uptime).

  • Assure schedule iscontinually maintained and communicated throughout the supply chain.

  • Highlight and activelyparticipate in the identification and resolution of inventory, customer orderissues, and quality issues as they develop.Work closely with Master scheduler and order planning personnel.

  • Communicate productionissues, supply changes, deviations from plan and potential resolutions toappropriate parties.

  • Coordinate secondaryprocessing of finished product (e.g., rework and repackaging).

  • Manage performancestandards and analysis methods to compare actual production performance againstthe established standards.

  • Monitoring system anddata integrity by maintaining process orders, rescheduling and closing asnecessary

  • Works withmanufacturing to optimize the plant schedule along with manufacturing capabilities.

  • Co-ordinates theproduction planning with maintenance planning and scheduling needs.

  • Validate materialavailability against asset schedule.

  • Manage inventorylevels at third party warehouse, ensuring FIFO and reports are maintained.

  • Provide support as key team member forfinished goods & bulk production inventory counts, organize physicalinventory process

  • Valid Detailed DailySchedule

  • Valid Master data(supports Daily Schedule and BOM and recipe)

  • Communication of DailySchedule

  • Detailed Dailyschedule adheres to policy/guidelines

  • Support processimprovement for the production schedule

  • Balance and reconcileproduction in short term horizon to meet customer requirements andmanufacturing needs within policy.

  • Key issues to escalatebased on policies

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2 - 3 Year equivalent SC or manufacturing plantexperience with proven capability (Material Planner, First LineSupervisor, Product Planner/Coordinator, administrative, customer servicerepresentative)

  • Six Sigma (Green Belt certification)

  • Passing score on APICS Module I (Basics of Supply ChainManagement) (either before or within 9-12 months of hire date)

  • Passing score on APICS Module II (Master Planning ofResources) (either before or within 9-12 months of hire date)

  • Material Planner experience preferred.
