Description

This position is responsible for the Pay & Time functional expertise, within the HR Direct Service Center. The role performs analysis, and data entry of specific cases impacting transactions in the payroll system (ADP GV). This involves cross system analysis, and issue resolution to determine the data changes that require to be entered to ensure accurate pay. Results are reviewed with Payroll Services as well as SC Leads to reconcile the record for appropriate pay. The position works in tandem with the Payroll Services Group to ensure payroll is processed appropriately for the organization.

Work hours may be between 8am-6pm.

  • Provides process and functional expertise for maintaining the Global View payroll employee records in conjunction with other interfaces to ensure records are aligned correctly which includes the following actions or rescinds (Leave Management, Terminations, Organizational Assignment and Time and Attendance)

  • Prepare, validate and process simulations to ensure calculations are accurate when uploading data

  • Works collaboratively with the Payroll Services Group & HRDSC to identify and assist with critical cases in all payroll frequencies on the overall processing for payroll which includes meeting critical deadlines for on-cycle and off-cycle payroll

  • Validate and process spreadsheet loader (SSL’s)updates for mass updates to GV for non-Workday compensation, allowances, deductions and corrections to the employee’s record

  • Processes data entry for pay impacting issues requiring manual adjustments

  • Assist Payroll Services with master data and payroll data required for JP Morgan for immediate check process

  • Validate and correct overpayments and under payments where required by direct input to the Global View system

  • Provide support and ensure timely entry of data for payroll cycles

  • Provide support to broader HRSC with payroll functional expertise (Benefits, Integrations and HR Tech COE)

  • Support special projects impacting payroll as needed (harmonization, frequency changes etc)

  • Supports the year-end processes

  • Analyzes implications of pre golive retro-active payroll adjustments and makes necessary updates in the system

  • Participates in research and expeditious resolution of internal and external inquiries as necessary updates to GV to support actions in GlobalView (CTP, cost centers, payments etc)

  • Supporting ongoing data audit process

  • Ensure payroll processes are executed in a compliant manner

  • Review Case Management system and respond to employees/managers directly regarding inquiries to assist in First Call Resolutions

  • Training colleagues to assist with knowledge transfer to ensure skill sets are met

  • Work with Third Party vendors to coordinate and execute Global Mobility is compliant with Service Level Agreements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field.

  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of payroll administration experience

  • Experience in using / managing one or more of the following systems is strongly preferred:

  • HRIS, SAP HR/Payroll and Time System

  • ADP Kronos/eTime

  • Working knowledge of end-to-end payroll procedures and other pay-impacting processes is strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of year-end, payroll close, GL reconciliation recalls, reversals and overpayments

  • Working knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources regulatory and statutory requirements desirable

  • Ability to exercise common sense, sound judgment, confidentiality and discretion

  • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy, often in time-critical situations

  • Effective communication skills to work with all levels of employees to explain programs and resolve problems

  • Knowledge of or experience in call center or shared services environment desirable

  • Knowledge of or experience in teaming with other sectors of a business is desirable

  • Experience working with third party vendors / outsourcers desirable
